I'm one of the poor bastards that hasn't got enough money to get a new rig that could support DX 10/11 too well, I'd like to know what good games require DX9.

I'd start off with Payday 2. Skyrim, Mount & Blade: Warband, Fallout: New Vegas, State of Decay, Tropico 4, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Dead Island and Deus Ex (First one and the third one)

All of us, cheap scrubs, thank you! :)

Most all the UE1, UE2, & UE3 Unreal Engine Games should work fine.

Bioshock 1 goes well on low end systems

I seem to be that unlucky person that has a low end system, but it's still too high end for Bioshock! :D
It just crashed all the time. Disabling Global Shadows helped though.

I remember playing it on my geforce 6200 256 MB, AMD sempron single core 2,0 ghz and like 1 gb ram, man i loved that game so much. Those were good times.

it needs lots of memory tho. when I could run it only on DX9 it wasn't perfect but it was playable. also needs some tweaking in settings like shadows off and so on

Yeah. Rust never worked for me. Tried contacting the devs and they just shot me down. :P

One that comes to mind right away would be GTA : San Andreas, if I recall more, I'll edit. ^.^

It would also aid if you left a category of games around, like perhaps Strategy/Adventure and so forth. :3

I was just thinking of any games tbh.
I didn't make this thread just for me, it's for everyone that is in the same pickle as I am :)

With Dragonball Xenoverse, is it still good if you haven't watched that show?
Also, I agree with you about there not being a shortage of games. It's just that it's hard to find them, since Steam doesn't promote older games at all :/

Man. there is a lot of games ;)
Dead Space 1-2, Mass Effect 1-2, Resident Evil 4-5 etc.
Many great indie-games, that no need too high systems: Invisible Inc, Mark of the Ninja, Dungeon of the Endless, Axiom Verge, Hyper Light Drifter and more, and more.

Thought I'd bump it again, since it's a new year, the sale has ended and more new games have come out with it.

Warband works well. There's an option to use Directx 7 too.

I forgot about the DX7 option :D
I wonder how bad/good it looks..

I used this option in some time ago.
Performance was better and memory consumption was a bit less.
But I experienced some random crashes.
The graphics wasn't so bad, but the map was more dark.
With the crashes DX7 on Warband don't worth.

Oh, Dirt 3 isn't DX10/11?
Also, didn't know that Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes would fit that category either. Cool :D

It works a little, that's not the issue. It's just that DX10 and DX11 are over my rig's capabilities :D
