i guess i have it on steam now since it's free to play there, but weird that humble promised keys and then just switched to pretending they hadn't

True. I guess they could not request enough keys from Steam for a free game, but i don't know.
I think that happened before with humble bundle so, if it happens again (with other game) i will add it on Steam anyway and if we got a key i will just remove it from my https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/ and activate the key, so i avoid to miss a temporary F2P like this time (i guess they made it available again because of the HumbleBundle keys problem).
