Hopefully you will post the solution so we can all see where we went wrong. I got up to solving the sudoku and the part below the sudoku which game me a a single number and string of 7 characters, but I couldn't figure out how to use them. I also didn't understand the hint.

In the first Sudoku image there was a faint red smudge in there over one of the cells, I was convinced it was significant somehow XD

I got the correct code from the binary below the sudoku, but I didn't know what to do with it so I tried putting everywhere I could think of, including imgur, but it didn't work. I didn't know you needed a/ before the code. I had no idea that was a thing and still don't understand it's purpose. I just replaced the code from an image like this one: https://imgur.com/cUSAVLk

I got the LDYU9CB part, but I thought the number in that cell (a 6, I believe) was also part of the key to the next step of the puzzle...

See how where is a 1 on the seventh box of the first row?
you go to the solved Sudoku puzzle. and in that same box there is a 7
the second 1 is in the fourth box in the second row, this lines up with a 6
the first number is 76

but sudoku can have only 9 ones, and 76 51 68 79 111 is 11 characters. where do I get the rest?

Now that I thought of it - it's incorrect sudoku puzzle at all, second block has number 2 two times. It can't be solved.

It's not a sudoku puzzle. It's a key to get some specific numbers that are needed for the next step.
You need to solve the sudoku from jigidi.
Then use this imgur album's KEY for sudoku puzzle and get numbers.

I did the Sudoku but without the key I had no idea what to do with it. I got hung up on trying to use the letters i got from the binary with the red thumbprint number as a combo somehow. Since that was a red herring...... thats a far as I got. 乁( ◔ ౪◔)ㄏ

An error has been pointed out to me, the fifth number decrypted from the key was supposed to have been 119 but I messed up and encoded 111. I even saw this and corrected it, but apparently forgot to save, and uploaded the old key.... Please forgive me.

Step 4: This leads you to https://imgur.com/a/LDYU9CB which it the key to the Sudoku cypher
Step 5: solve the Sudoku (or cheat and use an online Sudoku solver)
Step 6: The ones in the key represent the first character of the giveaway code, in the order they appear it is 76 51 68 79 111 I made a mistake here and the final number was superposed to be 119
