Sorry, no delicious chocolate to find in this advent calendar.

Which got me thinking... How many of you have advent calendars now? Is it still a popular tradition? We used to have them as kids. It was pretty cool to have something to open each day leading up until Christmas, even better if there was some chocolate behind the door. Well anyway, I'm gonna create a little bundled giveaway for each day leading up until Christmas. I might feel generous wasand add a non-bundled game to finish.

December 1st
December 2nd
December 3rd

December 5th
December 6th

We reached door 10 already! I'm no mathematician, but that's gotta be about half way, right? Celebrate with double chance giveaway! :-)

The 20th door! Not long to go now. Let's make things more interesting with some short trains!
A three-cart train for the 20th
December 21st
A three-cart train with a little SGTools check for the final non-bundle game.
December 22nd
A four-cart train with a little SGTools check for the final non-bundle game.
December 23rd
A five-cart train with a little SGTools check for the non-bundle games.
December 24th- Christmas Eve! - the final door!
A seven-cart train, four bundled for everyone, three small non-bundled games if you pass the SGTools check

Ok so somehow I messed up the timing on two giveaways >< maybe I'll create a bonus one - HERE!

That's all, folks. The last door of this years advent calendar. I hope you've enjoyed it!
When these last giveaways end, it will be officially christmas day here, so I will soon be celebrating with my family, giving some gifts and cracking open a special bottle of rum. I hope you all have a great christmas and new year, whatever you have planned. Eat plenty, drink responsibly, and spread some love.

Oh, nice one. I can't stand green tea myself, but my wife would love that one. Where did you buy it?

Good choice! Classic game.

I teach English, naturally ;-) Used to live in Tokyo, working in Tokyo and Yokohama for a while. Then moved down to Osaka and stayed here ever since. Love it here, and no plans to return for the foreseeable future.

Now I feel sad for you, get yourself one! Advent calendars have 24 (sometimes 25 doors) for every day in December leading up to Christmas. Behind each door is a little gift. Often chocolate, but there are ones with pictures, stories, tea, nowadays even big fancy ones from Lego and so on.

No advent calendar for me but my wife has one, even bought one for our cat! Lets see if she (the cat) likes it this year, last year she ate the stuff behind two doors end left all the others... Well this time the surprises seem to be better ones ^^
I read the topic as 'Adventure Calendar' at first and thought that why there would be any chocolate and why there aren't any? :D

Ah yes, I used to have an advent calendar every year when I was younger :) Not anymore though.
We only had (and still have to this day, I would suppose) the advent calendars with chocolate inside in our country, though. They're still a popular tradition here ;)

Still a thing here, actually my girl got me one this year... have to resist opening all the doors at once, I could never be trusted with something like that ;D. When i was little, my mother made one for me in form of a big castle, where under every part some candy was hidden... but she always put them there on the respective day, to prevent me from raiding it completely beforehand ;D. Anyway, happy Advent time.

i didn't realize what they were til i gleaned it from images from other "advent" events what does that word refer to in the context?
think the family might have had one one year but, if so, was just the one :/

It means the arrival of something (in this case, it's a countdown of 24 days before the arrival of Christmas day). It's not a common word to use, I don't think many people use it other than for the calendar :-)

i mean my first thought was "that of Christ," but there are far too many advent events on SG for that to be the intended meaning (here at least) xD so it is literally just of His -mas, gotcha hehe
