They're a fucking joke
The make the best decisions!

I don't mind them, they can be entertaining to watch. But they are far from being the ones making the best decisions. Maybe a middle ground option in the poll?

They're like most kind of reviews: totally biased.

Self-congratulating bullshit. Just like any award show, complete favoritism and trying to generate more revenue for sub-standard products. A true waste of everybody's time.

That might just be the most accurate description of award shows I've ever read.

they can pretty fun to watch, think what cheapens them is the announcements and promotional stuff during the show, but i feel they have a differentiated well rounded enough group of judges and their winners are well deserved.

i held their decisions with more value than even those DICE(Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences) awards, those feel a lot more like developers giving awards to developers, like one of those circlejerks kids talk about.

Same goes for the Teen Choice Awards. For the videogame awards, it is not noteworthy in the society of videogaming.

It's like the Oscar (or the Eisner Award, if you are a comic fan): once, a long, long time ago, they meant something; but now, it is only a matter of who pays more for the award.
