Gala Giveaways is closing... or not

GALAGIVEAWAYS MIGRATES TO INDIEGALA!

While we feel the need to apologize for not being very present for the Gala Giveaways users in the past few months, we would like to announce that, in order to improve and offer better services and better support to our users, we've decided to migrate all functions and features of Gala Giveaways to our main site, www.indiegala.com. The migration is already initiated with the new Trades section and will be completed in the next few weeks. Once it will be completed, the Gala Giveaways site will be closed to the public. Thank you for your attention.

It's interesting how they compare giveaways with a trades section. Me thinks those are quite different.
What do you guys think about this?

I'm sorry if there's already a topic on this, I did a quick search with no results

Edit: Seems I misunderstood the notice. They apparently mean that they will integrate the giveaway feature into the main page and that the (well hidden) trade section was just the first part they ported over.

If I understand it correctly they don't stop having a giveaway section they just merge it with the main site. Just looks like a rebrand to me and not like closing the hole giveaway area.

Oh my, I think you're right!

I just noticed that they have a trade section in the navigation at the top.

Now it makes more sense why they mentioned the trades.

Galagiveaways was broken. The coding was made by a 12yo kid, pages loaded so bad so finally i stopped using it for frustration

sdtopped using gala giveaways looong time ago so i don't treally care. Seriously - among all GA sites there is, it was the worst coded, shittiest UI, worst lags, worst GAs, worst point system... and I could go on and on ;)

I tried it for a week as well, but the website is unacceptably slow, and there are only a few giveaways, so I'd rather use that time over here at steamgifts :)
