I thought it was a lot of fun to play. Maybe not like the older hitmans, but definitely a good entry in the series.

The game is fun for the casual player who plays on the lower difficulties. The higher difficulties are extremely poorly balanced. As said by xarabas it's a terrible Hitman game if you played the previous games. But mostly casual players enjoy it. It's a decent-ish stealth game on the lower difficulties, the story however is absolutely terrible.

Edit: Only game that infuriated me enough that I wrote a review about it :D You can find my review about it here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Fallen_Kal/recommended/203140/

When you say lower difficulties do you include the default/normal level or just whatever would pass as the easy mode in the game?

Basically aimed at people that arent trying to play on silent assassin. It makes most of the maps semi linear for the sake of the story (which is pretty poor) rather than dumping you in an area and letting you figure out how to kill your target

I consider Easy, Medium and Hard the lower difficulties. Expert and Purist are the higher difficulties.

Consider me a casual player, then. I liked it a lot!

There's nothing wrong with that, I enjoy certain games in a casual manor as well. It's not meant as an insult, it's just a division between what you expect from the game.

No problem. I didn't take it as an insult. I was actually quite amused.

I wouldnt say that its broken at higher difficulties. Yes sometimes there are too many enemies in order to pass without touching anyone but for sure its doable if you take your time with the map.

Then you have not played the game on expert/purist difficulty. The ridiculous amount of enemies combined with their insane detection and the fact that they'll always block choke points makes it beyond frustrating, requiring near perfect runs with little to no room for error and times where you have to abuse the AI to advance. Unless you're willing to spend several hundred of hours with the map, learning all the enemies movements it's beyond aggravating if going for the Silent Assassin rating. It's not undoable, but they put a lot of effort into making it as frustrating as possible. I actually did several levels on purist until I got fed up with it and just abandoned it.

Actually i have completed the game a 100% except a single evidence as i got too bored getting it. The older games are much more difficult, throwing objects to distract them was the easiest way to pass without killing them. Not to mention that you could find out how to finish a mission much faster than the older games.

100%-ing this game means nothing to me since it's very easy to do. From what you are saying, I stand by my original statement you have not played the game on expert/purist difficulty. You can not compare any of the other difficulties to expert/purist difficulty. There's not much difference between expert and purist difficulty though (the latter removes the HUD mainly). I've played all of the previous Hitman games on second highest difficulty and none of them come close to being as aggravatingly terrible as this game on expert/purist difficulty (and only on those two difficulties). The other difficulties are for casual gamers, and is indeed not that challenging.

In order to 100% a game you have to finish it on the highest difficulty....i am not talking about the achievements as i dont care for those. So yeah i have finished it on purist and it wasnt as hard as you make it seem.

In order to 100% Hitman: Absolution you only have to finish the game on "Hard" difficulty as a minimum, you do not have to play "Expert" or "Purist" at all. "Expert" and "Purist" only give higher scores at the end of your mission. I have 100% of the achievements in the game, I've played the game for 100 hours, and it's the only game I've ever written a review for so I'm pretty sure I remember what "Purist" difficulty was like. You however got bored getting a single piece of evidence. I'm not trying to offend you, but simply believe you're remembering incorrectly. Unless you're willing to share your scores for each mission there is nothing you can do to convince me that you've played on "Purist" difficulty since everything you've said only makes sense for "Hard" difficulty. If you're not willing to do that, which is completely fine and understandable, I think the only thing left to do is to agree to disagree.

Its not like i care enough to download the game again in order to prove you that i have finished, purist. You can believe whatever you want but because you found this game hard doesnt mean it is for everybody, i never heard until now that this game is hard and the olders are easier. Next time just mention that you found a game hard but dont say it like a true fact as people may get away from it just for your personal experience.

Understable, I probably wouldn't do it either. The same could be said for you, let's assume I believed you (I don't, but let's pretend), and you found "Purist" mode easy, that doesn't mean it is for everybody either. Like I've said many times, most people will not bother with "Expert" or "Purist" difficulty and find the game enjoyable. There's only a very small group of people who attempt the hardest difficulties in games, mostly because people are too lazy (I get it, I do it too for some games) and just want to go through the game quickly. Hence it's hard to find opinions about it. Anyone can easily google "Hitman Absolution Purist" and draw their own conclusions, though most agree with me that it is not a "walk in the park" as you make it out to be. My opinion is no more valuable than anyone else's , and I will proclaim it anyway I want. Though I have played a lot of games on their highest difficulty and I never gave up getting a single piece of evidence because I got bored (and getting evidence is honestly one of the easiest things in the game to do). Mostly just kidding about that last sentence so don't take it too seriously please. Agree to disagree it is then.

We will for sure agree that the highest difficult in most games is too hard for the majority of players so most people skip it. For the most part i always stick with the hardest mode so maybe thats why i had no trouble with it. I love challenges and i cant stand the easy games. Anyway have a nice day and yeah agree to disagree.

May be I enjoyed it a lot since it was my first hitman game.

Exactly what these people are saying. I played all the Hitman games up to Absolution. Blood Money was the best one. Absolution was the worst. I spent 40+ hours just trying to get the achievements. Worst waste of time in my life.

It's only good for people to try who haven't played Hitman before.

I always like to keep an eye out for their offerings, not always worth it but def times it is. I recently grabbed sniper elite 3 since I always wanted to play it but never had n couldn't rly care less about the multiplay n such. Only planned on a "1 n done" playthru anyways so fit my needs perfectly.

LOL, what a bad joke:

require a launcher from GameSessions.
ads every 20 minutes during gameplay.
unable to play multiplayer.
unable to play offline.
bandwidth speed slowed down due to the file being share of whatever games you download from GameSessions.
processor-intensive on low-end computers.
awfully long uninstall for launcher and game an require 3rd party uninstaller to remove it completely from your system.
