Hey, I need some help with an upgrade, I just want to change the cpu, mobo and the gpu because it is causing me trouble

right now I have

amd phenom II x4 965 3.4GHz
mobo msi nf980-g65
amd hd 7850
RAM 2x4GB 1600MHz
WD 1TB black abd 320GB blue
Corsair CX750

I was thinking on getting an i5 4670 because it is around $200 which is acceptable
but I don't know which motherboard and gpu to get for $300

giveaway

ps. I'm trying to avoid amd because right now I'm having an awful experience with them

I guess what he asking is a suggestion from us, which both motherboard and gpu around $300.
Well, I haven't got myself around PC for a very long time, 'cause for about 5 years or so I got a laptop, I move around quite a bit.

From my point of view, why don't you just change/upgrade the GPU first, see how the change get you.
Then, if you not satisfied, next action is upgrading the Motherboard and Processor.

I don't know if you're going to get much for $300, maybe get a worse CPU and spend more on the GPU? Maybe a GTX 770

I could raise it to $400
I'm just thing more in the shipping prices, which are expensive because international
and if I buy it here it cost more than getting them from outside

This is just me, but I've had AMD for almost 5 years now, no problems. However, GTX cards tend to use less power, and have some nice tools and optimizations.

What's your overall budget for all three components? I can try throwing together a list of suggested parts for you, I love a good challenge. (I'll look for an acceptable Intel and mobo combo, so you don't have to deal with AMD as you asked)

$500-$600
I'm just having problems with the gpu and I can't deal with them anymore
so I'll just switch

Oh then that shouldn't be too hard at all. Give me a few minutes for comparisons, and I'll post a list.

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Bf2rhM
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Bf2rhM/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ SuperBiiz) - I cross-checked this with the 4670k you suggested, this overclocks higher and for $40 less on average

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ SuperBiiz) -Put $30 of the $40 you save not getting the 4670k into getting a solid air cooler that you can reuse for years, enabling you to overclock on multiple builds, present and future

Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($79.89 @ OutletPC) Solid board with great onboard audio, and many PCIe expansion slots for future use

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card ($199.99 @ NCIX US) This literally just came out from Nvidia, boasting the best bang for the buck in the 2GB GDDR5 range, and with great power efficiency, lowering electric bills and producing almost no noise compared to the Radeon you currently have

Total: $499.86 - Just under $500!
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Thank you for taking your time to help me
I think I can get the 960 in here for an acceptable price so that I don't have to deal with the shipping
And I probably can get the cpu too, I'll have to get the rest from outside

thank you again

I have a 4670 and it's fine, i would suggest to buy a cheap CPU Cooler, even a 20\40$ is really really better than the stock cooler.
Any mobo with 1150 socket.
I would wait a bit for vga.
