Hello Everyone.

I was wandering if the refund policy still applies if i buy a game with a combined payment (Wallet+Paypal, guess i'm able to do that). Does any one of you was in this situation before? I'm too late for asking steam support, so since you're a great community maybe i'll find my answer here. Thanks in advance!

I'm in a big dilemma. I got my new GPU yesterday and i'm in the mood for F1 2015. Since there is no demo, i thought i'll try this way but 10€ short on wallet...

After you ask for refund you choose where you want your money back. That's the point that answers your question - yes, you can.
EDIT: If it's not, then it's stupid.

I hope you are right. I'll wait for the F1 2015 pre-order deadline. :)

It won't affect the process at all, except that you may only be able to get the refund back in Wallet only and not refunded to Paypal.

MysticAarrrg is right. If you want a refund for a combined order you can only get it back in your wallet. But you can get a refund.

I didn't done any refund yet, but I assume you'll be able to refund wallet+paypal purchase (unless it's unrefundable product). You should be prepared that they will refund you fully into Steam Wallet, through.

Ask for refund to Steam Wallet as a whole. They'll grant it. Happened to my friend before. I know it because she sucks at understanding everything on Steam and had to ask me for help (so I filled in everything for her).

I'll write a message for them, if it's possible send my money back exactly where it comes from. Maybe that will working.

I have recently refunded a game. I believe that it's just refunded to your Steam Wallet. I don't remember an option to refund it to my PayPal account.

You probably didn't pay with Paypal in that case, correct? If you used PP, they're happy to refund you there, saves them money.

Oh yeah! I totally forgot, haha. I recently sold like 800 trading cards and bought the game with my Steam Wallet.

WRONG!
http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

You will be issued a full refund of your purchase within a week of approval. You will receive the refund in Steam Wallet funds or through the same payment method you used to make the purchase.

Because you didn't mention you want it on your PayPal. I quoted the official Steam page. You can check the link. Why would they lie there?

Okay Here's my experience so I bought two games during the summer sale together, Tales from the Borderlands and Law and Order the tell tale game. Didn't like the law and order so I returned it. Problem is I wanted to keep Tales, but if I returned Law and order back to my credit card well I'd have to get rid of tales from the Borderlands, and I was like fuck no I actually want to keep that game I've heard good things about it. So you had to have it returned to my steam wallet no big deal. However I also returned another game and since that was the only game. I think I handed back Fallout NV i had the money returned to my credit card.

If you buy a few games together with PP you can only get it back on PP if you cancel the complete order. If you only cancel a part of your order you can only get it back in your wallet. If you want to be sure buy your games one by one.

UPDATE 2: It's official. When you ask for refund, you'll able to choose the method (Wallet, another payment). It said that the xy€ get back to my paypal, and the yz€ to my wallet, and voilá: Valve refunded my paypal money minutes ago. :)

Thank you guys for all the answers. I like this helpful community! :)
