How many characters did you recognize at first?
I played Broken Age fairly recently, and I recognize Vella (mid-right, mid-bottom, behind a big duck).
I recognize another character from Broken Age on the top middle (cheery short fella talking to a blonde woman), but I will never remember his name without Googling it.
All in all, I recognize about 20 characters, but I am horrible with names (and I would bet some of them do not have names), so not sure if I could name many more.

Am I reading it right that you will create dozens of giveaways for every one of us? And if the games overlap it's down to luck as usual. But if I'm alone in my game of choice it's a guaranteed win? And when do we choose a game?

It's fine not counting this, I had fun naming the characters. As far as already named, I didn't read the other entries. I opened the thread when it's only a single page, wrote it first in Notepad before I forget and I guess a lot of people wanted in so it's already three pages long when I submitted.

I wanted to go with the cabin on the top left, but it is not a character, so i'll go with Gnome from Samorost (little white character on table doing trumpet on bottom of picture).
I only played the first one, that reminds me that i need to play the two other games :)

In honor of the Steam Summer Sale, I decided to do a nice little contest. I found out a game dev had been working on an art piece of game characters and just released it.

Contest Rules:
1) To enter, name ONE character from the image (game and exact name if you know it)
2) First one to answer counts (To check if your answer was given before please use the search function)
3) Be as specific as you can (for example if there was a Mario character, don't just say Mario but rather try to name the exact character (Luigi, Peach)) It would also be helpful if you could point out where in the picture they are hiding.
4) Honor Code please
5) Everyone is allowed to participate
6) Those who end up being eligible get put into a giveaway for a game of their choice up to $10 USD (or up to $10 in a Humble Bundle/Fanatical/Groupees bundle). Names will be put in a "hat" and drawn. (Note that the choice can be any value under $10, so do not pressured to have the value equal $10)
7) I will close contest in about a week or so (at my discretion) and post the winner here. It will be up to them to contact me to claim their prize.
