I was having a look at the site.. may I ask you why in Participants tab some are highlighted/bold while others not?

I was bummed out that I haven't been able to play much the past couple weeks (besides idling) after starting out so strong...but hey I've completed 2 games and beaten 1! I should be happy with that. :D Maybe sneak a final one in before the end (really wanna play Layers of Fear), but don't see myself finishing Shadow of Mordor before then.

Just finished Eon Altar. It was way shorter than stated in my challenge post. I corrected this with supporting info and counted the corresponding points accordingly.
All my games are in the same post above. For now, 4 challenges out of 5. I'm playing "I am Bread" and "The Walking Dead".
Just let me know if I have to modify something.

LastlM I have a few questions:
I already played before September:
Alien Rage unlimited with 10% achievements, but 3 hours already played (according to HLTB game is 6 hour long)
Dead Rising 2 with 12% but 17 hours played!!! (according to HLTB game is 14½ Hours)
These games don't count, right?
Plus, I've played and dropped and uninstalled The Lost Valley with 11 minutes of boring playtime. I might beat it since it's only 21 Mins accoding to HLTB.
I'll add these to my chart in case I got stuck/bored with some of my current runs.

How bad I didn't see this in time :( and you have a point, before I entered in all the gifts, but now I only enter in wishlisted, if they seems interesting or if they have a blue heart, because I won 50 gifts and only played 2 (only of them because it seems interesting (and it was!)). I think that steam needs to filter some games, because isn't normal that maybe like 500 are only for trade cards or easy achivements because they aren't even funny and are too too short. This place is full of that games or games that you think that are like those (but nope! there are funny and with good time) and it's kinda sad but well, if you don't try them it's true that you won't know if they are funny or not x'D

I'm a little confused how the theme works this month, so just a bump.
From my SG wins I beat Grim Fandango Remastered (1 remaining achievement) and finished Dark Heritage: Guardians of Hope, Belladonna and Grim Legends 3: The Dark City. Also I'm running out of wins to play :P

Which part are you confused about? You play SG wins (or other games if you've played at least 80% of your wins). For each game you start and complete in September you get a certain amount of points (depending on the length of the game and completion of the optional challenges (making a screnshot/ getting all of the achievements). For gathering points you gain access to giveaways listed in the chart in the main post.

Well, All you gotta do to participate is to beat SG wins this month. Have you beaten any of these games in september? If so, just post some kind of proof here and you'll automatically get some points. After that, go to our website, login with your steam account and you'll have some GAs waiting for you, according to the number of points you've gathered.

Thank you for the reply! Yeah, these are all games I beat this month.
But only Dark Heritage counts, I started Grim Fandango and Grim Legends 3 before September. And for Belladonna I have no proof. There is still next week to finish Day of the Tentacle Remastered, which will put me at 85% SG wins beaten :)

I really enjoyed the event, even though I didn't have time to play a lot of games. University hit me hard.
But before I forget here are my personal feedback!
The points were a great idea - events with points are super fun, even if I'm not making the top 10.

The screenshot for an extra point seems a bit easy, as you just take a random screenshot and post it. Maybe if it was a scavenger hunt, as simple as possible. Find a tree. A bird. An ice cream. A dead person. It would be more difficult.

I think the prizes could each have an amount of points to unlock them, but you have to choose how to spend your points. So instead of having 20 points and unlocking every tier, you would choose to enter the Kona giveaway, and then have zero points. Or enter Alone With You (15), and This is the police (5), then have to gather more points. Choosing is more challenging, it keeps people working, less people per giveaway, and I think kind of more exciting.
Of course, the downside to both suggestions is ... it's more work for the event organizer (you) xD. And it must already be difficult. Anyway, those were my thoughts.

Yes, the extra challenges made this event a bit too easy, but tbh since it was the first one, I just wanted as many people as possible to participate. Therefore I added as many easy challenges as possible. Same for unlocking a bunch of GAs at once. I just wanted to reward people that, at least, tried. The trouble to send GA links led me to choose to unlock most of them at once. I only got a website to help me halfway through this event. This should help a lot for the next one, even if I'm not the host.
Skanda will probably be back for october. Or someone else, I'm not sure. Maybe Wolfdoodle again. However it'll probably be a different challenge. Tbh I don't know if/when I'm gonna host another one of those again, but if I were to I'd probably make some changes to it, maybe make it a bit harder. Idk.

Hello everyone and welcome to another month of playing your SG wins! 乁( ◔ ౪◔)ㄏ
I hope that y'all are ready for another challenge! This time, with a twist: Prizes!
Because September = Prizes to a participating member, of course! xD
This month's challenge: The legendary quest to defeat the evil Dr.Backlog!
"It's not a quest, if you don't find loot!" -Einstein, Albert.
Therefore, this month, for beating your sg wins, you'll get a chance to find some epic bounty!
Games will be divided into one of the 4 categories below, according to the time one would take to beat them (just main story). Each beaten game will award you points:
Very short games (< 2 h) = 1 point
By gathering points you'll unlock the doors to awesome loot! You may unlock them by acquiring the required amount of points in any way you want.
Eg: To unluck door 3, one could simply beat a game like Evoland 2 or get challenged to beat Portal and Solstice. More on that later!

TL;DR: Play sg wins --> get points --> achieve a certain amount of points to unlock GAs --> Get loot!
* If you have less than 20% of your SG win left to play or haven't won a game yet. You could use any unplayed games instead of a SG win. Same rules! This is only for those close to 0 sg wins left to play! Just because you don't like your sg wins, doesn't mean you shouldn't try them! (¬､¬)
(Optional) The "It's time to du-du-duel!" challenge:
If instead of choosing your own games you prefer getting challenged by your fellow SGers, you can have them select a number of games from your unplayed wins and challenge you with them!
Will get twice the normal amount of points for beating a challenge!
Eg: Using the example above - by beating Evoland 2 one would normally get 10 points; however, if someone challenges you to beat said game and you finish it, you'll get 20 points (2x10). If you get challenged to beat Portal and Solstice, you would get 6 (2x3) points for each game - 12 points total.
If you want to get challenged with random games reply to this post and another user will select 3 to 5 games for you to choose which one (or more!) you'll be playing for this month's challenge! (challengers: try to include games of different sizes!)
(Optional) The screenshot challenge:
You may post 1 screenshot per game beaten to earn an extra point for said games!
Eg: Both Portal and Solstice are worth 3 points each. However, if you post a screenshot of each game, you can earn 1 extra point per game! (3+1+3+1=8 points!)
(Optional) The Completionist Challenge:
If you unlock all the achievements in a game you get 2 extra points per game!
(Optional) The mightiest heroes challenge:
If we reach more than 100 participants, I'll invite the top 10 people with the highest amount of points to earn even more loot!
For it to count the game needs to be beaten/finished. Which means no endless mode/multiplayer etc games. You'll also have to post some kind of proof, that could either be a link to your achievement page or a screenshot of the ending credits.
Don't forget to reply to this thread to participate! (You may edit your post as you beat more games, just don't forget to warn me or you won't unlock the corresponding door!)
