Got a notification but there is no new message

I got a notification near the envelope icon but i don't see any unread message. I checked categories separately as well. Nada. Am I missing something here? I know it's nothing important. It'll probably go away when I click "Mark as Read" but still...

Someone typed out a msg and then deleted it. You got notified but there was nothing to see.
