Before or after major events?

I have 986 cards and i tried to sell them, I was getting 120€ a few days ago (using Steam Economy Enhancer) and now a mere 36€ for the same cards. I couldn't sell back then because Winauth was not working and had to move to SDA, now i have to wait till the 6th January for the market to open. But at this price...

Maybe i can sell them for more in Summer? What do you think?

That would be a very big difference, always thought there wasn't much difference, i always wait with right before or during an event.

I have the feeling it's overall less anyway then let's say 3-4 years ago when event cards were worth something too still.
And now with the point system, some might not craft (and thus buy cards) so much anymore to get items/backgrounds?

More likely the prices were bugged because of the sale or then you had some games that just got cards and only listings were at 100 bucks or something. But generally speaking before sales is the best time to start selling and through the sale.

Unless you had all the cards twice and sold only one copy of each, you don't have the same cards.
You probably sold the most popular cards for a good price and what remains are less valuable and less interesting leftovers.

When you put them on the market doesn't really make much of a difference. But if you expect high prices, as during the holiday sale, it might take several months till you get rid of them.

Ah, I got it. You didn't actually sell them the first time, that was only the price set by Economy Enhancer back then.
Just set the addon to cover a very long time frame, to determine the price, and you won't see such fluctuation.

If I had to guess, I would say a foil card was valued at an absurdly high price.

Maybe there was a single card in the mix where only one person had one up for a stupidly high amount

Before sales feels the best in my opinion
i sold some cards that were usually worth 5-7cent for like 30-50cent

i sold december 1 to december 16 and got 72 euros for cyberpunk + among us and 9 euros left in balance :) about 2k cards sold, sure takes time to put them to market...
i think many were also stored in my inv for YEARS :D so buying those bundles sure helped haha :D

I was surprised how much some cards cost, apparently there are a lot of Nep-nep fans out there :O

I got tired just putting a few extra Steam Sale cards on the market. I can picture you clicking and clicking for those 2000 cards.
You deserve that Cyberpunk!

Right before sales are when a lot of people look for cards to get some crafting done during the sale events.
I'm not into it myself but that's what I gathered from increased card and crafting chatter on reddit, discord etc before those sales

36 sounds about right.
But you're gonna get even less than that. 36 is based on the current lowest price. Doesnt mean people are going to pay that for your cards. Foils for instance are often overpriced but there are hardly buyers unless you drop significantly.

Prices rise right before and during sale events.

I don't get it. Why just put it up for the price you want? If you have time to wait, it will be sold for that much or not. You lose nothing.

Total: 301.15€ (7593 items)
so for 986 theoretically you should get 39.10€ (more or less) after fees
so, there is no way you could get 120€, maybe 1 card was listed at 80-90€ at that time

Yeah, I wish Item Value used buy order rather than lowest sell price. Some cards are sold at absurd values.

I just do the same thing @hallak65 said. I put the cards with a price a little above average and if i need credit fast i lower the price of some cards.
