It's for any online game. Has been around since forever. Before MOBA or MMO as a concept even existed.

That's the first time I've seen Oblivion classified as a FPS. Not the first time I've seen the Bethesda Fallouts classified as such, though.

it depends, if it is ez for me then i dont say anything cause that will make enemies mad ( I know that feel) .If it was ez for them then i say gg cause everyone will blame me for losing. But when both teams do their best then i say a gg wp

am I the only one who doesn't get what he's saying?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

gg = good game
gg wp = good game well played
ez = easy, can be used as an insult (game was too easy for you) or ironic statement (you got beaten badly)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Oh, "ez" is "easy"... alright, thanks!
Saying that the match was easy is indeed poor sportsmanship.

when its a bad game i'll say GG to allies and GeeGee to all.

Depends on how bad it was. If it was a stomp (no matter the side) or people were rather rude, I won't say GG, but otherwise I will.

I say bg and if it was unbalanced too.

I play alot of TF2, when both sides push and shove the cart then it's a good game, not when 2-3 heavies and a med push it in 1 go or the rest of your team is bad.
But i also tend to say come on (we can do it), to my team just trying to keep the spirit up and maybe help for the final push. :)

GG = Gratuitous Grinding? I say that an awful lot in RPGs... :P

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Good grief, more generously given gratuitous grinding? Well, "good game"- I gravely guess I'll gracefully go play another grueling game as I grievingly gripe about garbage gimmicks.

Gg, more gg gg, Well, "gg"- I gg I'll gg play another gg as I gg about ggs.

Okay, some of the puns are a bit forced, but you'll just have to grind your way past those. :3
Shhh, shh, I didn't mean it! Don't cry! The RPGs can't hurt you here.. :(

I don't play online often, but when I do, I only say gg when it was an actual good game.

I don't play online games, so I can't really say.

I will say GG with regards to your giveaway, and give you a bump.:)

Ironically, I guess.

I never used AOL-era chat acronyms unless I'm making fun of people. I'm appalled they continue to persist even after us Internet kiddies (presumably) got an education and grew up.

Edit: I understand that I used an acronym in my statement about making fun of people who use acronyms; I differentiate between acronyms in the traditional sense, businesses and such and those invented by kids because typing out entire sentences or even single words is too difficult.

Oh. Yeah, that's the thing.. So often everyone is negative or flaming that even when someone is saying something for fun you take it the wrong way. Or if someone says "Nice gj" you automatically think they are sarcastic or something.. The bad sides about multiplayer games. :x
