It is completely unfair to the developer to have all these exploited codes flying around. If you are getting codes from an app, please don't submit it.

The devs for Eets are Klwi Entertainment and they seem incredibly friendly. If you suspect you received a exploited code, please shoot them a message and try to pay for it if you can. They also helped with n+, which is an incredibly fun game.

as intended. From what I understand, you buy the app, you beat the app, you get ONE Eets code, which is perfectly fine to use however you wish. However, there is an exploit to generate different codes over and over again, which is clearly not what the developers intended.

Oh damn. Well this is sad. CG, I propose that all giveaways for Eets are postponed / frozen for now. Try and get in contact with the devs, ask if they can advise how submitter's can confirm if they're legitimate or not. I think it's important that we push the extra mile to make sure stuff here's legitimate.

part of the issue is its real hard to tell as they are from the Heist ios game and are a legitimate prize for beating the game

don't pity them too much, the game isnt exactly a best seller and i bet they are making more money off the app than they made off the game

Well, I got my codes on my iPhone, Mum's iPhone, My brothers iPod, our iPad....

Those Codes are meant to be given out, thats why they have the description "eets promo product". You can put up to 5 iDevices on 1 iTunes account, so if you buy the game once 1 Account can generate you up to 5 Keys. I cant see a problem with that. I bet they earn 10% (or w/e) for every sold app on the AppStore and that is by far way more then they would ever have earned with Steam sales only.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Eets: Hunger. It's Emotional is from 2006, and I somewhat doubt they are still expecting to get any sales at this point. They are giving out codes in that app so they can get their name out, and it is certainly working, as many people would not know what Eets is, if not for their being so many copies floating around.

ahah its their fault for not making it pirate proof.

You know ... you dont even have to jailbreak your iDevice to get "a few" more copies. Any iDevice will do it, all it needs is the App ("The Heist") and iTunes, nothing else :)

Nothing is pirate proof sky. Blame should not be laid at the feet of the dev's.

i beat the game, and i know how to make it pirate proof! at the end of the game when your about to get your prize you simply let the game verify with your itunes account to see if you purchased the game. simple. pirate proof! take example of Sentinel: mars defense on the apple market anyone who pirates it, gives you to play 5 waves and then it goes to a browser and says "you are playing a pirated version please purchase the game to continue the fun". so you can't say nothing is pirate proof.

I purchased the game and my iDevice is not jailbroken. Im still not limited to only one promotional code.

people who exploited it should also have their steam accounts banned

so you're saying anyone who got the game from their friends who exploited the game, or bought an exploited key? gets banned as well? so you can't say ban the people with exploited games on their steam accounts because of that.

when did i say that? point it out to me? I'm saying the people that exploited it got 1000 keys and either sold or traded them should be banned not the friends who were unknowing.

I think that is a little harsh. If they exploited it, they should have it revoked. I don't see why exploring an iPhone app to get an extra key for a $10 game should get every other game you own revoked.
