Steam badges for getting all achievements in game, a good idea?

They'll never do that... because money.
At some point you would have to buy cards.

Nope. People would just pop in SAM and boom, level ups.

It would just encourage even more cheating than there already is.

I had a theory where all badges = 1 foil card. That would be nice, but it would be after a achievement hack security buff.

Maybe only one badge for a number of perfect games that will update depending on the quantity. As the badge for the total number of purchased games...

Until they start enforcing rules against SAM and other achievement unlockers, rewards/badges for achievements will never happen. It really sucks because I do enjoy hunting achievements and a little extra bonus for completing games would be a nice incentive as well.

Unfortunately it's too easy to exploit Steam achievements. Unlike on the Playstation where it works really well.

Okay because of all this SAM bullshit maybe just have badges worth no XP then so doesn't matter if some crazys abuse the system

besides the sam-problem,why not 3d-avatars that get decorative equipment and animation/emotes for gaining special achievements. a cow with a blue hat dancing lambada would be so great....

It would encourage people to hack in achievements with SAM, allowing them to get more booster pack drops. I actually wish getting all achievements would grant you something small, like a background or an additional steam card. That would be fine by me.

Wait a minute with this SAM thing, do people f*ck with Playfire & get heaps of $$$? surely that is a lot more open to abuse than steam is?

I was thinking about a badge for making good rated reviews, but i'd have plenty of ideas for badges, but it seems we are not getting any more, they are perfectly fine with them atm, when your only chance is to get a badge is to spend money in Steam... So yeah, i don't think we will get more badges.

Will be cool, no need to have XP, or just 1 XP, also it will be available after reach certain level (i.e. lvl 15). Is not a matter of "lose" money, much more XP are made from badges crafting from farming keys of games with TC like happen with L4D2, Red Orchestra 2, Sniper Elite v2, and recently PAYDAY (and many many more games i cant recall)

BTW? How many "perfect" games you have in your libraries?????
