I think any kind of self promotion like this is only allowed in the "User Projects" section. And you probably want the above text in the thread description instead of a comment since it looks a little weird having a blank discussion with the main info in a comment.

If you want to move the thread or edit the description, there is an arrow on the top right next to the green "Open" button with an edit option.
