There was a giveaway where the sponsor wrote "THIS KEY FOR DEMO" in the description. People thought it was funny and bam, a new meme was born.

A troll made a giveaway with this, and now claims that he might feel like to send the real game to the winner a week later. So he plays with people like this and since this is wild west, he can. Because we have no rules, no moderation and the only person with any power to stop this, CG, doesn't care at all. It is just sad.

You give the Wild West a bad name. Last I heard, the popular conception of its lawlessness is greatly overstated.

Anyway, what you're saying here is that the "mod" title is just a honorific on this site?

Then I hope I'm not being out of line here when I say that their "powers" need to get expanded. Handling the reports is obviously too much for one person; I mean, how else would these goddamn "this key for demo" clowns still not be banned?

We had a mod once, but he gave up and resigned. So we don't have any moderation at this moment. Partially because of the reason Kaitlyn stated above.

It has been requested countless times for mod powers to be expanded and more mods to be employed to keep things in control, but the site owner CG haven't made any moves in this direction so its free for all here.

You can abuse the site as much as you want, sadly, as long as you keep in mind to open a new steam account with a free Dirt 3 code you stashed away in the case CG bans your account, that's the most he does anyway.

PS: Not that I do anything like this, but there are countless people that get away with it everyday.
