Civ V GOTY is no more.. long live Civ V Gold !!

Happy day for any Civilization Fan.. especially if you never got your hands on Civilization V.

Steam just got Civilization V Gold which includes ALL DLCs even Gods and Kings, Seeing Civ V as the daily deal I started thinking if it was today that I was getting Gods and Kings (7.49$) and then realized that they created a 'Civilization V: Gold Edition Upgrade'. So anyone having the basic Civ V Edition can get a crazy deal on all DLCs, otherwise someone having the GOTY edition can get the 3 missing DLCs ('Korea', 'Wonders of the Ancient World' and 'Gods and Kings') with this new Upgrade item for only 5$.

This upgrade is not mentioned on the Gold Edition page but on the Basic Edition page

Just thought some people might miss this 24h deal.. Gold Upgrade for 5$ only !!

Actually if you have GOTY already you shouldn't get that upgrade, because look here. It would be cheaper even along with Gods&Kings if you still don't have it.

That 2 DLC pack doesn't get you Gods and Kings like the Gold Upgrade does..

Though to be fair I'm not sure about US prices... Here the Gold upgrade costs about 60% more than that pack and G&K combined.

well it's all about where you buy them from I guess..

For me 'Korea and Wonders of the Ancient World - Combo Pack' is 1.87$ .. 'Gods and Kings' is 7.49$ .. so getting the Gold Upgrade for 5$ is a no brainer.

back in the christmas sale, i got Civ5, GOTY upgrade, Korea&Wonders pack, and Gods&Kings, but i never added it to my library, i'm guessing i'm getting screwed over right now

Meh, bought both G&K and the GOTY upgrade last christmas, now the Gold upgrade is as much as GOTY alone BUT has more content. It's a deal, it's a steal, it's the sale of the fucking century -.-
