I have only tried don't starve but it is such a fun game. At first I didn't like it because it was very challenging but once you get in to it you can have a lot of fun.

If the question is "Finished game or not finished game?" always pick finished game.

When someone has too much money... like 1 milion people who bought dayz... sigh.

Some maybe just wanted to support the developers ??

I bought it because I actually thought Rocket would keep his word, he obviously did not, it is worse than the mod was a year ago. Still cheaters everywhere, zombiepathing is as pathetic as it used to be, with them not even respawning (you need to reset your server every hour or 2, also if you want items to respawn). There are no vehicles, no tents. No reason to play in group. At this moment it's just a Deathmatch game on the coast.
Mistake of me to think he would actually have done something in 2 years of time. People think just because the alpha of the standalone got released, that it's in the start phase. I think people may be happy if the game would be finished around January-March 2016. He wants to go Beta around December 2014 wich means it will be around March 2015, then waiting until beta is finished.
I'm not mad though, it's what I kind of could expect and it was more to support the development of the game and having my e-copy already in my Steam Lib, played the mod for around 600-800 hrs so it's worthed.

Don't Starve is piece of art. You will love the design, sounds etc. But i have to admit i did not played Rust yet. Just saw few videos. And Don't Starve is way cheaper. You can get it for 3 or 4 Tf2 keys from players who already bought it during sales.

Oh that makes sense. I think people thought you were asking which one you should get. Rust is quite different in some ways, there are guns etc., but it does have some similarities. I personally think that rust looks kind of over hyped.

They might be the same "type" of game but they're COMPLETELY different when you actually look at them.
I've had many, many hours of fun playing Don't Starve (I've had it since December 7th, 2012), but I have yet to play Rust and it looks like a ton of fun.

Don't Starve.
In most cases when you pay for early access you are not paying for a full game, you are paying for the promise of what the full game may be, do not buy early access unless you have disposable income. With that said you can always pick the game up upon it's release with the added benefit of seeing whether the game is something you actually want.

The funny thing about your post is that I bought Don't Starve when it was early access. lulz
It was well worth the money.

My friend almost got the 2 pack, but hesitated and tried to check with me if I wanted it and ended up missing it. OTL

Rust and Don't Starve are not even close to being the same thing. The sales of Rust is like DayZ, because of it's hype. Rust is marketed as a survival game, but you will most likely die from other players before you die from hunger unless you have some friends who play it. If you want a good survival game, I suggest you get Don't Starve. It's cheaper too.

Im planning on Buying RUST very soon. Dont starve is very good.. BUt these are similar "ideas" of a game, but are different.

In majority of the Giveaway Groups I'm in, Rust seems to be fanatically wanted very much. I decided to check out the store page and it seems that it is just like Don't Starve, survive with tools and all. Which one is better? Obviously, I know the graphics factor, but I don't care about that. I'd just like to know whether it's actually worth the hype.
Thank you.
