Rust or Don't Starve?

Rust!
It's awfully addicting, especially if you play it with friends!

i haven't played Rust but Don't Starve is pretty damn amazing & addicting. id say Don't Starve. its high on my top favorite newish game list.

This is a weird comparison. Rust focuses on multiplayer survival, and cannot be played offline. It's also in a very early beta stage. Currently over run by cheaters and hackers. I played it for about a week, but then, like many others had to give up because there were too many hackers. Once the game will be finished, it will most likely be an amazing game. It's like a mix of DayZ and Minecraft.

Don't starve is a 2d single player game, that is completely finished.

I am sure that if Rust actually completes all their goals, it will become one of the major top selling games of all time, but for that, it will take them probably another 1-2 years of development.

Right now, I can't recommend you play rust. Go with Don't starve if you simply want to enjoy a few entertaining hours.

Depends if you want SP or MP. If SP go for Don't Starve, if MP, Rust.

If you have friends I'd go with Rust. Rust is amazingly fun and updates keep on coming. They added another gun recently and it's made by the same team that made Garry's Mod.

Personally I'd say both, they both look like fun to me. Don't forget there's also How to Survive http://store.steampowered.com/app/250400/ and that looks good too. EDIT: However hearing what other people are saying about Rust being MP, I don't know... I'm not a big MP gamer. But it's up to you.

I love Don't Starve better but, big but, I only played Don't Starve alot and only watched Rust via stream for about 2 hours. I played DayZ mod so I can see on stream clearly how it goes. Rust is better at this moment than DayZ Standalone but in 2 years it will be the way around. I would go for Don't Starve.

Rush is too hyped. Don't starve is my preference.

Rust. This game is going places. Too early to go all-in on it, like Starbound when early access first opened, but I like what I see so far.

Depends on what you're looking for. Rust is multiplayer oriented and Don't Starve is single player. Rust is more about scavenging and base raids, building up shelter, hoarding stuff. While Don't Starve is more about building up your resources so you can explore and progress in the gameplay. At this moment though I would personally recommend Don't Starve over Rust.
