Came across Video editing a while back and i'm loving it very much. I would like to improve on it but i struggle to be critical on myself and see which areas need more work or improvements.
Feedback, tips or anything like that is highly appreciated. <3
Currently i have Sony Vegas for editing and OBS for recording. I can do some of the Basic stuff but it takes a while to even do those.

The source was part of the official release from the Game (Code Vein), i cut the "boring" parts out and put it together in a more action/ story theme. The idea was to create a teaser type for a upcomming playthrough, where all characters within would be a major part of it.

It looks like a teaser, so nice job on that front, but I don't think there is any story conveyed here, it just feels like clips cut together to match with the beats of the music. Action is cool, but the calm moments can help emphasize the action bits, if the whole thing starts with high octane action there is not much to evolve to.

It works for a teaser but nothing is understood as it goes so fast. But, that is the point of a teaser... to tease without spoilers.

Great job!

Honestly I don't see much of a 'video editing' here. Mostly basic cuts. Also these 'blinking' fading transitions with black frames were painful to watch.
But I like that you've decided to keep original sound FX, as they are usually make fighting clips more dynamic.

Oh really? They where meant to be a scene change in a more brute way, instead of a smooth one. I guess, i've failed in that aspect and made it look bad instead. :P

I suggest watching more video's of how it's done by people with more experience. (Hell, watch official movie or game trailers for example.)
That should teach you about pacing. You can't just keep adding action infinitely, you need to work it up to a climax with slow parts inbetween as well. (Not to mention the overdone 'blink'-cutting which is probably supposed to come over as more action-packed but is annoying if you keep doing it that much.)

That all being said: If you enjoy it then keep practicing :)
