Where are these (specific) game sales coming from?

Didn't see much of these games for a few months, but today I'm seeing a few giveaways. Are they on sale somewhere that I don't know about?

XCOM: Enemy Unknown
System Shock 2

When I search for games on Steamgamesales.com, I often can't find them unless they are actively on sale and it knows. For example, System Shock returns UFO: Aftershock.

I think XCOM was on sale recently at Amazon. System Shock 2 is in the Humble Bundle Weekly.
