Actually points do generate faster the more giveaways are created

They do not generate points for giveaway creator though.
Points are generated at rate 1/10th of giveaway entry cost for all users except creator. Rate might be different, think it changed few times but you get the idea.
Theres no other source of points if I'm not mistaken.

That sounds weird, are you sure about this ? I thought the regeneration was the same for everyone.
That is at least what the FAQ seems to indicate:

How do I receive or earn more points (P)?
All users on the site are given an equal number of points, and you cannot do anything outside of waiting patiently to increase your number of points. The number of points being distributed to users is based on the number of giveaways being posted to the site, and you'll frequently see your points automatically rise throughout the day.

I have no idea why people would need any more points. I have entered all the giveaways for games I want, and have so much spare points. Are people entering every giveaway they see or something ? Enter only in giveaways for games you want and you will have more than enough points.
And the incentive to create giveaways is leveling up your SG Account, by doing that you are able to enter in higher level giveaways with fewer people (aka better chance to win).

Wouldn't it make sense to add points to user accounts whenever they create a giveaway? The amount of points could depend on the value of the game or just be a set number of points. I just joined this site and it seems like that would entice people to create more giveaways.
