How do I tell if a winner received my gift? Here's a more specific description of my problem.

I won a copy of The Ship complete pack and with it, I got another copy to give away to someone else, but had to wait a month for it to become tradeable, which I did. I created the giveaway yesterday and have been given a winner. So I send the gift to their e-mail associated to their steamgifts account. In my steam, it says that The Ship is being sent to the winner and is waiting to be received, so I've been waiting. Now I check their steamgifts profile and they have created a giveaway for The Ship which is now closed because of accidental creation, so I figured they got an extra copy with it to give away as well. But then I check on steam and I still have a copy of The Ship complete pack as a gift and it doesn't say it's still being sent to the winner anymore. Also, they haven't tagged the gift as received on SteamGifts. What does this mean? Does the ship come with infinite copies to giveaway (yes, i know it sounds ridiculous to me too), or have they rejected the gift on steam and I should request a new winner?

EDIT: The winner has finally accepted the gift and tagged as received on SteamGifts.

winner has 7 days to redeem the gift on their account and mark it as received. If they don't do so after 7 days, contact support

I know this, but the gift isn't being sent anymore, which leads me to believe they have rejected it.

I am trying to send it again, also adding them and sending it to them directly but they aren't accepting my friend request.

In case that person ends up not wanting the gift, you can ask for a reroll and pick the last option, 'Winner Rejected Gift'.

Just wait for him to add / accept you, if he doesnt, dont send the gift with his email, you risk gifting it to an user who will never mark it as received. Wait for him 7 days and if he doesnt accept you, ask for a re-roll...
Also notify him via e-mail telling him to add you.

Only if the gift is a key. If it's a an actual gift, the item won't disappear from your inventory until the winner claims it.

To the thread creator, if you still have the gift and the user hasn't claimed it after 7 days, request a re-roll from support. Unless the winner has a history of re-gifting or shady behavior, support will most likely just tell you to wait until the week ends.

Sounds like the winner bought a copy themselves and received another copy so they made a giveaway and rejected your gift.
