thanks for the suggestion but i've never done a group buy and frankly I just don't trust it enough to even figure it out. considering I'm getting 5 games i dont mind the £3 price since that is cheap for these games especially since all the $15 ones are up there

I was a little iffy about it as well at first but figured I'd give it a go and found a person from Europe who's very reliable. I mean, you can always check someone's reputation because people who don't deliver for example won't really survive in the group buy group. Usually, you'll always see the same people making the group buys so it's easy to just pick one who's done a lot already with positive feedback and stick with that person then you don't have to worry. :) But again, whether you give it a go or not is totally up to you, just figured that I'd share some more information about it.

Find a thread about hosting this bundle, you can use search, steam forum search is sucks i know, but it's the only way.
Find the one with available slot, then you request to join the GB.

There is a script for that but you only need to visit Indiegala on a daily basis and quite often the HH is also announced in the according SG topics.

But some may not be even fully aware of the risks when CC info is being shared with webshops. ;)
It doesn't need to be a shady shop at all to put your data at risk, even legit but insecure shops are equally dangerous in case of being hacked.
PayPal seems to me the lesser evil, or you just could as well use a prepaid CC for shops which doesn't accept PP.

Different reasons but i try to hold me short.
I am one of that people that read AGB's (Terms & Conditions) FULLY before they sign something.
I have done that at Paypal as they were created and at that time 36 (if i remember me right -sorry its many years since they started there business-) other "companies and institutes" got your datas. As examples: CIA, FBI, National Homeland Security, US Tax federal and and and and.
And they can sniffing around at your bank account not only at the moment you pay with PP, nope they can do it everytime they want.
For what they use all your datas, bank account infos, what you buy and and and not counted in.
I don't think that is handled now in a "lighter/easier" way since all that terrorism and such stuff.
And i don't support such "trade practics" to make it very short.
When i give my datas freely and knowingly it is a difference to "whenever the company wants and to whichever/whatever they want to give it too".

Protip: your bank already shares much more than PP ever could. So the CIA will know I bought some games, whatever will they do with this crucial information. Posting here that you bought the bundle will give them the exact same information.

That you can't hide such stuff from a spy network (CIA, FBI and so on) is clear.
But i don't be willing to give my datas to all and everyone. The "few" that can get it without my permission should work for it (if they really need them :-D)

Look at the purpose column, it clearly explains why the information is shared. Those on the list are the ones who have some kind of contract with PP to allow you to use your bank with PP, verify identity to protect against fraud and so on. It's more about silly money laundering laws affecting innocent people than any kind of real spying.
Unless you find proof that they automatically share all information with everyone, I still find this a bit of over reaction. Not using some commonly used service is a clear red flag in the NSA database, you must have something to hide and require closer inspection. :P

So they are using some companies to spam marketing emails and surveys, still don't see that as any kind of big deal as long as you can opt out of them. I'm all for targeted marketing when it actually works, but sadly I just get spam for useless crap, not deals on catgirls :(

Since I only use the things I really need, I get (almost) no spam, I don't know if targeted marketing is good or not, maybe people love it, I just don't care and prefer doing my business alone. There are ads everywhere in our lives, so for me it is: the fewer the better.

Those institutions can already get the information they want directly from your bank while PayPal has absolutely no way to sniff anything there other than you giving them access to your card. So you should be not using any money at all instead of not using PP if you want no government sniffing of your affairs.
