I haven't played any of the Mass Effect games, I really want to though. My partner loves them, and I've only heard good things about the series.

Mass effect 1 & 2 are incredible, 3 is very good too. Even if you're a JRPG fan it might not be familiar in terms of gameplay but trust me when I say the story/experience is awesome

If you got the time to play them YES its 100% worth it.

I only played ME1 and I think it's worth it, pretty cool games :)
Also Bioshock 1 and 2 worth it too.

Bioshock 1&2 have been available in a double pack on Amazon for $4.99, and if you're patient they will turn up at this price again (probably coinciding with Steam's winter sale in about a month's time).

They're both good games, and definitely recommended at that price if you don't have enough stuff in your backlog to keep you going between now and then.
