Just out of interest :) I see so much talk of 'ninjas' here, digital geeky style of course, not modern delta force/freerunning style or ancient Japanese style.. and I always have a little chuckle at their claiming the name.

I trained in a bunch of martial arts disciplines but mostly ninjutsu growing up.. haven't been active since diagnosed 2004 with a back condition..

Anyone else study this awesome artform, or other martial arts?

There are so many styles I want to incorporate/learn.. krav maga looks fun :) along with most of the styles I saw on 'Mind Body & Kick Ass Moves' tv documentary series with Chris Crudelli.

I was a kid in primary school who put their jumper over their head to be a ninja. There was a whole bunch of us.

It never goes away, can get rusty though :) I started when I was around 7 or 8 after doing tai kwon do and various karate dojos.. did it for about 1 year before moving interstate, then when I came back a couple years later, started again for another three years.. had to stop due to a disability/back condition diagnosis and learning to not hyper-extend so much!!! Which is a big part of some of the martial arts styles. So I want to do it again.. but can only do limited things I suppose.. and Aikido or similar kinetic training would REALLY help me for when I am in too much chronic pain to do harder ninja style techniques, which require more force on my part..

Have not tried Aikido... it's about using the force of the opponents on themselves, right?

I loved ninjutsu and would love to start again, but with a child, girlfriend, school and daily life I'm finding it hard to fit it in :-(

Those who study the true arts speak of it to no one but others of the brotherhood... This is the only true law of the ninjas we mortals are allowed to know.

Yes :) I love the Ask A Ninja ninja. He is the ultimate master of ninja disinformation :)

Anyone that says they are a ninja can clearly not be one :)

Haha, I kind of like that where I live there are very few legal guns.. we have about 0.001% of the gun crime/deaths as the USA proportionately looool. Something like 10-20 a year I think..

But if I had the option I wouldn't mind some tactical training in that regard :) I play enough video games to give me a decent idea though haha. I wish there was some combination of Downhill Ice Cross, combined with shooting - that would be the ultimate sport.

Sonny Puzikas is doing a seminar here next month, would love to go but can't justify $350 USD for a 2 day training in systema...
I would love to do Sambo I think.. or at least Aikido.. I want to keep my ninja training up but cost is an issue :(

Is this from Naruto or history? Hehehe... I don't know Naruto well :)

Shadow clone hehehehe, noob saibot style haha :)

Ninja evolved slowly around 1000AD or slightly earlier from teachings received from the Shaolin warrior monks of China.. their teachings were taken back to Japan and evolved/customised.. from what I understand :)

I trained in karate for about 5 years but did not take it seriously, after a short hiatus i picked up ninjutsu, which i did do seriously.
I have always been a parcours/urban freeflow/freerunning type of guy, i have done that since as far back as i can remember.

These last ~6 years i have not done any of them any more, too busy :(
