I'm Azralynn, and I make quick, informative reviews in a straight-forward, get-to-the-point manner on YouTube.
Along with these videos, I also create written reviews on both my website and on my Steam curator page.

I understand that many of you won't check out my content, but I would be super grateful if you did. :)

Good luck on the giveaways! Train starts here!

I started streaming recently, and plan to do it a couple times every week. Problem is that I don't have good enough internet to handle 1080p @60fps (yet), so in the mean time, which do you guys think is better?

1080p @30fps
720p @60fps
Depends on the game (please explain in comments)

Some really nice games in that train!

I like your channel, too. Quick, informative reviews without a gimmick like being "angry" or wearing goofy sunglasses. Good stuff.

Thanks. You made me think of Disguised Toast. lol, now THAT is a gimmick that made me think "wtf?"

IMO, if you can't stream on 1080p 60fps all the time, then you should decide based on the game that you are streaming.

Some games are more fps dependable in order for viewers to understand what is going on, otherwise it's just a blurry mess on screen, this usually goes to games that have faster action.

Hrm, that makes sense. I guess I have a hard time telling when it's appropriate since I'm not that sensitive to lower frame rates unless it's laggy/stuttering.

Man, I really hope they finish installing the fiber in my area soon... lol

It really depends on the game. Games with a lot of fast moving action benefits much more from a higher frame rate. Ultimately, you have to balance resolution, bit rate, and frame rate. Whenever you increase resolution or frame rate, you also need to increase bit rate otherwise your picture quality suffers. 720p 30fps is essentially 27 million pixels per second, since it's 1280 x 720 pixels in a frame and 30 frames per second. 1080p 60fps is essentially 124 million pixels per second. That's 4.5x more pixels per second, and if you don't increase your bit rate an appropriate amount, it's going to show.

Also, I'm not sure how YouTube streaming works but I know quality options weren't available for small channels when I used to stream regularly on Twitch, so you may end up alienating your audience if you're streaming at too high of a bit rate for their connection.

Good luck and bump!

On YouTube, all viewers can lower the quality of any stream. On Twitch, that option is only available if the streamer is a Twitch Partner. Looking back at my older streams, it seems like the FPS stuff with a lot of action is a bit blurry at times (i.e. Shadow Warrior 2). When I compare mine to another person with a 720p 60fps framerate on my 1440p monitor, I still think that the 1080p 30fps looks better though. I guess that's why I am so unsure of which resolution to use even for those sorts of games. I think my next poll will need to be a monitor size poll. LOL!

It's definitely the higher fps! xD
Also some people might don't have fast connection, so 720p is definitely enough!

Oh.. Thank you for train ^^

Hrrmm, that's so true too. Now we need a "how good is your internet?" poll. Hah!

I have a horrible internet (7 mbps) and have to share with another person. 720p60 is fine, especially on youtube where you usually stream.

Thanks for the train, the Witness GA if you didn't read my edit and gl with your channel :)

So, stuff like platformers/heartstone/etc, would you say 1080p @30fps though since there's not a lot of movement?

Sure, I'll go with that. :)

I'll add too what Koitenshin said below me:

720p@60fps would be fine, except for the games that are locked to 30fps

In that case, what's the point of streaming @60?

Last Stop! Welcome to Hell on Wheels.

Just finished watching the final episode. I hate Westerns, but this is a very good series.

Thank you for the train, it has a lot of wishlisted giveaways on it.
720p@60fps would be fine, except for the games that are locked to 30fps. (some games still are, which is sad for 2016~2017)

Speaking of 30fps locked games, I couldn't believe it either - I just played one early this month. :O
