The Windows store has Ori and the Will of the Wisps for 80% off as of a few hours ago, as shown on IsThereAnyDeal. It looks to me like Steam decided to match it.

Blind Forest Definitive is currently at a good-but-not-historic price at GameBillet.

Compared to other regions, mine has the highest difference in price at +119% of what Steam suggests and it's also the most expensive compared to other regions. I guess Mexico suddenly has the strongest economy in the world.

yeah... not quite. you have to have REBOUGHT the 'definitive' to get that deal. anyone who has the original game gets shafted, as usual.

Tragic that you missed the opportunity to upgrade your old version for free.

That was never possible. They gave a 75% off coupon for owners of the original. You couldn't upgrade for free.

Hmm, seems it was possible to upgrade for free but not on Steam.

I think that Will of the Wisps does not require a definitive edition. When it was necessary to fix the difficulty (sandworm), they just released a patch in the game. Now it is a completely finished product that will suit any player. Therefore, I recommend you trying and not waiting 🙂

While the DE in the Blind Forest really improves the game and makes it more enjoyable =)

It just went back to its previous price. It was always 20€. Sale price was up until 2021 5€. So, you were given a 2 year period where the base price was 5€ and no other discount was added.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Just went back to the original price. Nothing really happened. The sale price since 2019 till 2021 was 5€. The base price was then set at 5€ and no sales were present for the game for 2 years. So, you basically had a 2 year sale. So, nothing happened. They just went back to the original price and will now offer discounts on sales (perhaps people like buying games on discounts more despite the price being the same for Ori during the past 2 years when it didn't have a sale discount).

This place will never stop to amaze me with its stingy people. Especially if it's also game hoarders like yourself, wasting money for 4k games you mostly never will touch.

But nice that you almost ended up allowing their decision to offer a masterpiece for 80% off, three years after release. So generous.

I payed full price for Blind Forest (19.99$) and 26.99$ @ -10% for Wisps. I can't say I regret it, they are both some of the best games ever. They are worth full price any discount should be welcome.

If people don't want to buy games that are a "steal" fine it's their loss.

6 pounds for a phenomenal game is not bad at all. It’s become increasingly rare for great games, even older indie games, to cost less than that.

I've never seen the first or second game in a bundle before, so I will jump on and get this sweet deal, plus the soundtrack.

If you are looking for the soundtrack as well you can get it for cheaper here too:
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/18893/Ori_Soundtrack_Bundle/

You can also get the first game Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition on many stores for around 4-5€, before buying the second game to get the extra discount from the Fill your collection bundle on Steam.
Just make sure the key you are buying is for STEAM.

Greenman-gaming link is 5 euros here, so it must depend on Region. Should be different for everyone depending on where they are in the world. So for now, steam has the better deal than anywhere else, for me at least. 9.88 euros for both games.

For me it's 4.99€ but there is a -20% discount so it goes down to 3.99€.
When I enter incognito, there is no discount, so I assume you need to login with an account to see the discount or it has something to do with their XP membership program. Apparently I have a bronze membership (Only need 10XP for it).

With Steam regional price, it cost only $1.81 for Ori and the Will of the Wisps in my country. It goes down to $1.63 in Ori: The Collection bundle, since I already had the first game, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. Can't miss the deal. Insta buy for me.

It will probably go on sale. They reduced the base price to 5€ for 2 years. That is what the sale price was before. So, you basically had a 2 year sale period. So, now the people who didn't like buying the game at full price during these 2 years (the full price being 5€), can say "Yay, I bought it on sale instead, at 75% off (which comes at 5€ anyway).

Bruz, for real? The game was constantly on sale at 75% off for 4.99€. They then reduced the base price to that and basically gave you a 2-year sale, and you are now complaining that they didn't go even lower while at 4.99€? Sometimes this place really amazes me at how cheap people want games to be. Almost 1€ or below would be the ideal price here. Otherwise, it's "too much."

I gotta love how salty you get for a comment like mine, even putting sentences I never wrote. They increased the price x3 (at least in my country) and didn't put it on sale for two years so far, that's my point. If I didn't buy it is because I wasn't (and I'm not) interested enough, and I'm even less interested at that price.

Btw, the price was never reduced to the sale price I get in my land, so you should chill and make your own research before commenting with such attitude.

Not salty bruz, but do get annoyed seeing so many people complain about game prices and how they are too high unless it's something like 2$ or less. So yeah, my bad for not knowing you're from Colombia where they did indeed increase the price even more for some reason. But you didn't mention where you're from, and I'm too lazy to look into every single profile anytime a price discussion is brought up. So, either bring up the price you pay in your own comment, or tell me later if I'm wrong. Whichever it is, I'm ok with. But I still stand by my last part that SG really has a lot of "not worth it unless it's 1$ or less" people which I'll never get. Sorry for lumping you in with them, but I went based on my assumption you were also paying in € and complaining about them going back to the original price.

Easy Decision for me.. played both games all the way through.. loved them.. but really had a tough time on that water fountain level on first game.. no problem on the replay... maybe they nerfed it? 5.39 for an all time great IMO. Worth it.. even if its free on xbox game pass where i played it.
