CS:GO Tournament Idea

So I've been thinking, and I realized that a CS:GO Tournament would be really cool.

Teams

You would obviously need a team of 5 to play CS:GO. But here are some basic guidelines:

• Each team would have a team captain. That team captain could put together a team of 5
• The team of 5 can be anyone; it could be 5 of your friends, or 5 random people. It doesn't matter.
• When signing up, you will have to have agreed on a team name. The team name could be anything as long as there are no offensive racial, religious, or ethnic remarks

The team would be composed of 5 players of set ranks. Each team needs:

• 5x Silver 3 - Master Guardian 2

Each rank will have a certain amount of "points" allocated.

• Silver 3 - Silver 4 = 1 Point
• Silver Elite - Silver Elite Master = 2 Points
• Gold Nova 1 - Gold Nova 2 = 3 Points
• Gold Nova 3 - Gold Nova Master = 4 Points
• Master Guardian 1 - Master Guardian 2 = 5 Points

Each team MUST add up to 16 OR LESS

Games & Matches

Here are basic guidelines for games:

• Games would be 5v5 matches that are composed of 30 rounds, with 15-round halves
• Friendly fire and team collisions are ON
• AKA game rules are the exact same as competitive

Here are the guidelines for matches:

• The first team to win 2 out of 3 games in a match, wins a match.
• Each team picks a map that they would like to play
• The map each team picks must be different; maps will not be repeated in a match
• If a third game is needed in a match, a coin will be flipped and the winning team of the coin toss picks another map to play

Tournament

• The tournament bracket will be a single-elimination tournament with a group stage if 32 people sign up
• If less than 32 people sign up for the tournament, then there will be no group stage
• I will custom-tailor the bracket to suit for how many teams sign up

The Prize

• Did you really think there wouldn't be a prize for the winners?
• The winners of the tournament will each get a prize :)
• The prize is a secret... SHHHH

I will create another forum post with all of the dates, times, and results of the tournament once enough people sign-up, so remember to check back and not skip out on your matches. I will confirm the dates and times with members of each team so everyone will be able to make it :)
