"Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova" is just another game that gets delisted from stores as their license runs out: https://delistedgames.com/star-trek-prodigy-supernova-to-be-delisted-at-the-end-of-september/

I am a Star Trek fan myself. I grew up with Trek and I really enjoyed the game! So if you are willing to try it - do not wait any longer buying it.

Thanks for the info. But even as diehard Trekkie I'll pass. Never got why people would buy mediocre or even bad games, just because they get delisted.

I did not buy the game just now. I have bought it long ago for the full price.

If you never bought it when it was cheap or bundled, you weren't a diehard trekkie :D

I watched Picard (bad and uninspired, nothing but cameo/name-dropping fanservice) and Discovery (trash, pretty much from the first till the last episode) completely, despite knowing better. I'm as diehard as you can be, considering what I'm willed to endure. 😭

I feel you.
You should give the TV series Prodigy a try. Watch the frist 4 episodes... I am pretty sure you gonna like it.

I am a fan of the Roddenberry / Berman Trek. Prodigy worked for me.

If it's licensing thing... Then if I understand correctly, anyone who isn't of a nautical persuasion will no longer be able to buy it anywhere, right? (E.g. licensing expiring means they can't sell it period, not just on steam, but also would apply on epic/gog/etc right?)

Also do license expiration things like this usually result in permanent delisting or is it more of a temporary thing while ownership changes hands sort of thing?

ST: Prodigy store page is showing full price ($50 USD) rn vs itad showing historic low of only $2.49 back in Apr 2025. While I wouldn't mind giving this a try, I might wait and see if they lower the price before delisting... Definitely not going for it at $50, especially w mixed reviews.

Yes, it applies everywhere.

You can find it on resellers for 2,60 euro.

The only official information I could find was on Steam. There, the developer states that their game is leaving 'stores' and their 'licensing agreement... has concluded'. Therefore, I would assume that the game will be delisted everywhere.

Unfortunately, the game is not available on GOG.

Yeah, I was just using them as an example. Unfortunately, too many places still push drm but I love that gog still pushes back against it.

I'm sticking with "Nothing wild, and the sky's the limit" with my Trek.
