Not being a lover of pop, I have never followed the contest, and have blissfully avoided most of it unless bashed over the head with it as it is unavoidable when living in a country that is so enamored with pop music.

I get you, I mostly listen to harder styles of music, metal and things like that, but somehow found fun on it when there was not only pop and ballads on the contest (and when people cried about it because it was out of the norm).
But yeah, previous years it was, as we say in Spain, "even in the soup".

I get it. My gf loves all kinds of music (I could never get her to listen to rap though, even the old school rap) and she never misses the Eurovision. In Portugal they also have competitions to select the song so it lasts months to her delight xD
It is definitely getting wider in terms of genres and surprises. Mostly popish but more inclusive.

Taking Lugum's post as inspiration (and excuse) to create a small train, level 3, ending on the day after the Eurovision Final takes place, so I'll use that for this small antibot measure to acces the train.
I'm happy year after year there's more variety speaking about genres and songs, charismatic people and shows, and that made me follow the contest a bit more (ballads ballads ballads STOP WITH THEM, even though France brought an amazing voice for 2024). With that said, what are your favourite entries of ths year?
