Personally I like watching basketball games, mostly NBA. I actually don't watch much TV and only have Netflix and NBA league pass subscription. Having no broadcast TV at home (by choice) means I don't watch other sporting events, which is a bit unfortunate because I'd definitely watch some high profile events like the world cup and Olympic games had they been more accessible.

Sports I occasionally leave home for include mountain biking, inline skating and billiard (8 ball). In the past also dingy sailing. Unfortunately I don't find much time to practice (as in participate in sports) these days.

Note: For the purpose of this poll, any sporting activity (even working out) qualifies as participant sport, not only competitive activity.

Depends on the type of controller I think. If you're not seated it's a good start...

I played football as a kid and table tennis in a club league and for my school. But nowadays my knees are shot, so I pretty much only watch sports now. I watch football, American Football and NHL, if it's on TV I also to watch table tennis.

Participating in sports, organised or not were a huge part of my childhood and teen years. Only a spectator these days.

Was on a local football (soccer) team and played for my school teams too. Would also play during every break/lunch at school for many years, and spend time playing it in the street or park after school, on weekends or on days off from school.

Played for an American football team when I was 15-17.

In non-organised stuff I'd also ride my bike around the street and race the other kids, played a bit of tennis, badminton, cricket and would go swimming.

I practice parkour and tai chi (though getting rusty now), with background in aikido but currently have no one to throw me around. XD I'm also learning capoeira on my own and hoping to join a group in the next few months.

Interestingly, I never considered them sports because I never played competitively. I didn't even aspire for "belts." I just enjoyed the practice.
