(I hope my English is understandable^^)

Hello,

as most of you are also active on SteamTrades, I will strongly warn you against the "next generation of scammers". It affects primarily Arma 3 sales via SteamTrades. There are people who buy the game key from the Arma website and sell them cheaper on SteamTrades. They seem to be very trustworthy. You get the key and you can activate it without any problems. But... After a week (or two) they reverse their own arma payment on paypal and the game doesn't exist any longer in your game library. This is very bad scamming, which can be difficult to uncover. Therefore, I will advise you to buy the game for the full price.

It's just a warning. Scamming is bad as hell.

Common sense would be avoiding "profitable trading" altogether. The amount of effort and time spent hustling isn't worth the spare change you're saving or "earning"

I don't know if there are any places that sell Arma 3 cheaper than the official website, but I assumed there are none, so anyone who offers a game below the lowest market price is suspicious.

I remember some exploited games, such as Portal 2 and Dead Island, where people tried to quickly sell their keys for $2 during that time - now where do you think such a cheap key would come from, when both games where not discount below $5 on any other site during any other sale?

And if someone on Steamtrades (or any other trading platform for that matter) offers you 90% of the store price for your game that you bought 1 week ago for 25% (aka 75% off), then that's also likely a scam, unless you're the only trader with this game or all other are trying to re-sell their copy at the current store price - which is highly unlikely.

Someone offering Borderlands 2 for your HiB below average? Sure, they could have gotten their BL2 copy during the GG price glitch, but it's most likely a scamming attempt.

Yeah, this isn't specific to ARMA 3, anyone can do it, regardless of the game.

That's why you've got to be careful who you trade with.

Chargebacks are old news and trying to warn people gullible enough to get scammed in most cases is a waste of time anyway. Closed.
