If you buy a bundle on steam do you get seperate games or will it be 1 activation for both/all games

Usually i don't care as the bundles goes straight to my account if i ever buy them. But i noticed that Day of infamy was cheaper if i bought the bundle with insurgency in aswell! I don't care for insurgency so i would pref to give it away instead.

There are two types of bundles on steam, one which you have to buy the entire bundle all at once, even if you already own some of the games, and have to pay for those games you already own. These can be bought as gifts, but then you'll get a gift for the entire bundle. With the other kind, you'll only pay for the games you don't have, these can't be bought as gifts at all, and you have to buy the entire pack.

there's another type, a bundle that you buy as a gift and get the items SEPERATELY, but i don't know what makes the difference before buying, you can see my inventory for example.
i have a gift of star wars collection and alot of gifts for dinosaurs.

I could not gift this one so it didn't matter.

Also if you buy a bundle and 1 of the game doesn't work or something. Do you have to refund the bundle or can you refund a single game?
