Does anyone know if there is a way to by pass the drivers license part when making a Laybuy profile?

In general if you can't afford something now you probably can't afford it split over the next six weeks either. Ever wonder how a service like that can exist, without any fees or interest? Because people make accounts and then they fail to have enough money in the bank one week between paychecks and that's another ten bucks, and then it happens again next week and it's another twenty - ten for last week and ten for the new week. There is no leeway here, and with a moments mistake you end up paying double or triple the price of a smaller purchase.

If you are sure that you would never make such a mistake and that you'd always have money available when it's needed, then great! You don't need them. Just take that money you have available each week and put it in savings, and in six weeks you'll be able to buy the thing.

Just some general life advice, sorry I couldn't help with your actual question. :)

Your sarcasm aside you do understand that any adult SHOULD have at least one but preferably three to six months expenses saved up for just such emergencies right? It's called a buffer or emergency fund and its composed exactly of money you have saved up in advance. So yes, my method works perfectly well.

The money people spend on interest and fees and overdrafts because of picking credit over saving up is exactly WHY people end up living under bridges - the extra expenses means they live above their means and can't afford to save up for emergencies.

That being said your scenario isn't very realistic - if you have to move out you either bring your stuff with you or in some countries your landlord already provides basic amenities.

Look, I get that it's hard. I get that it's harder in today's economy (in much of the world) than ever before. But it's not impossible, and it's not unrealistic. When I ended up in a shitty situation and had to move out immediately with very little safety net I ended up moving onto a tiny sailboat for a few months before having enough saved up that I could move to an apartment the size of a closet that didn't even have a shower. For the first week I slept on pillows on the floor until I could buy a cheap inflatable bed that lasted me the months until I could afford a real one. I bought a plastic tub to put on the floor, some shower curtains to string around the room, and a shower handle for the faucet to be able to stay clean. I built a long distance wifi antenna out of a can of pringles so I could use the library free wifi from home. I know it's tough, and I've been there - and I saved the money up and got out of it.

The bottom line is that if you are not saving up then you are living above your means. Check out the Financial Independence and Frugal subreddits and you can probably cut your costs significantly with the advice found there. Don't blame the world for your mistakes, if you HAVE to move out soon then you probably saw it coming quite a while ago, and just haven't started DOING anything about it yet.

If you need help, get help. There is support out there when things are tough to get through alone.

Every kid should have food to eat, and free education.

They do, in large parts of the world. And still they don't manage to save up money much because they never get taught it, and they just spend more money elsewhere if they have it. Luxury is addictive, and if you don't budget your money properly and get it out of sight you'll find something to spend it on, and then you'll end up..... where you're at. Don't be old you, be better!

Good luck. :)

Where is this shitty place?
The only appliances apartments usually lack in the states is washer/dryer, of which they'll have in a laundry room somewhere nearby.

If you just started working and want to have all the things then you're a silly person who will probably be in debt soon if you aren't already there. You're bashing his advice that people should save money and PROBABLY have the means to pay for something before buying something.. maybe you should take the advice instead. It was free.
