Apparently, we now have both a Magic: The Gathering manga and an Overwatch cereal [buy it and get a free lootbox after taking a picture of your reciept and sending it in!]. What other unusual spots have you seen gaming brands in, of late?

And no- for those curious, I didn't end up buying the Overwatch cereal.
..Instead, I bought the Unicorn cereal that was magical cupcake flavor, and which rang up on the reciept as "Unicorn Unicorn".
Because of course I did.
I mean, I don't even like sweet cereals, but.. but.. come on, it's magical cupcake flavor! Also, the unicorn made me do it.

Lootboxes would be much more compelling if they dropped magical cupcakes. I think that's what I'm really saying, here.

or unicorns.

Only thing off the top of my head was the Batman(?) or Spiderman chocolate calendars during December, there were a bunch of others but I don't remember, probably WB or Marvel stuff. Then again that's not really "gaming brand". I guess the things I buy don't do promos beyond their own brand.

There are actually several MTG mangas. I haven't read any of those (I kinda want to read the Urza / Mishra one, since the idea of a loli Ashnod is so silly it could actually work, but the Ixalan one looks terrible - even more than Ixalan's setting.), although there's a pretty good short manga by Ise Katsura called Destroy all of humanity. It can't be regenerated, which is more about the game itself (more precisely, the Tempest block metagame) than its story.
