Question about region lock!

Hello guyss.So i came to know that CS:GO now has a region lock.I have a question.A steam friend of mine who lives in philippines has to buy me CS:GO in december and i live in INDIA so would he able to send or trade the gift to me or not??

I see this on steamdb: Cross region trading and gifting is disabled for this item.

Well India and Philipines both count as SEA no? I'm pretty sure Pilipinnes are part of this region, not so sure about India tho.

Afraid not. You can buy and gift him if it is ROW version, but he cannot buy and gift you as he can only buy SEA version.
