So, about a week ago i bought an earforze z11 headset, the audio is fine, but i cant use the microphone; im using a laptop with win 7, only 1 jack plug, beacuse it said it didn't matter, and of course, the microphone isn't detected, i already tried to read on google some solutions, already tried to go to sound>recording> show disabled devices, but nothing, there has been no answer since 2009, i already tried to contact support, but they fucking ignored me.

Alright, I looked it up. Are you using the adapter cable that comes with it? Look down at the "What's in the Box?" part. That Y-cable is kind of important when you plug it into a PC, as it most likely doesn't support the microphone on the same plug as the audio.

No, in the instruction manual said that in laptops with only 1 jack plug there's no need to use the power adapter

I don't know what kind of laptop you have, but I'm on a laptop right now and it has two separate sockets, one for input, one for output. Are you absolutely sure that your laptop A) only has one plug and B) does actually support a 3.5mm 4-pole connector? Even if it only has one, it may be that you just have no microphone input. Do you have something else you know works to confirm this?

If you really do have that rather unusual setup, open something like Audacity and see if you can see input when you talk (make sure the dropdown for input is set to something like external mic). If the problem really isn't from the plug, then the most likely issue is hardware failure, a broken connection in the line probably.

A) Yes
B) Yes
I don't know the exact model, but i really doubt its specifically just me, since this problem has been earlier than '09, with no answers at all
