I've been playing Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon without issues for a couple of weeks. Then yesterday I went to play and when the main menu loaded I received a black box stating "ERROR: The Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon service is not available. Please try again later."

Originally I didn't think much of it, but now I see my saves didn't take and my uPlay achievements for points didn't give me my points either. :/ I'm getting the same error today.

Has anyone else encountered this or found a fix? I've been searching forums but haven't had luck yet.

Also, because this got buried.

Reinstall (if you can)?
@edit: After uninstall clean registry maybe.

Hmm, I tried validating the cache of the local files. It told me 50 files failed to validate and re-downloaded them. After launching the game it gave me the same error. I validated the file cache once again and it told me 50 files failed to validate and is re-downloading them again.

I tried to submit a ticket to their support and after filling out the form it said "Your issue is solved!" and provided a link to "Your CD Key isn't Working" FAQ.

Even their support is broken...

Way to go, uPlay. slow clap

not with FC3BD, butmy gf has same issue with Rayman: Legends for over 2 months now :/ Achievments don't update, records (luckily he has a save with all levels cleared from before the error) don't get uploaded to cloud etc. Reinstalling game and UPlay didn't help. And Ubi Support is useless. Got a reply that they're workinh on it, ticket closed, 2 months later problem persists :/

Maybe it's a temporary thing? Just seems odd to come out of the blue yesterday.

I have previously played Far Cry Blood Dragon without problems but tried yesterday and it didn't work. I figured uPlay was just having one of it's temporary server glitches and played something else. I'll try again now.

Edit - Still not working but I don't know why. If I find anything out I'll post here.

Thanks for the update! Glad I'm not the only one having this issue who didn't have it prior to yesterday. (Well, not glad since it isn't a fun situation.)

Looks like I'll have to leave it be for now and play something else.

I tried the 'fix' suggested by uPlay support and at least I'm getting a different error. Now I can't run Blood Dragon until... I exit Blood Dragon. Except I have given up, rebooted my computer twice and now I'm playing Dreamhouse Barbie instead.

In my uPlay experience these are problems at uPlays end that get fixed before their support manage to offer any useful advice. Assholes.

Hey, just thought I'd let you know that I played the game a little while ago and it seems to be working again. Unfortunately I beat the game when it was down so none of my uPlay rewards unlocked. :/

Now I'm starting over to get mah points! :p

It really does seem poorly made and executed. Thanks for the update. Looks like I just need to wait and see when it gets fixed.

You might have better luck just patching out uplay's DRM. Doing so would also require you to move and edit your save file, but it has worked for me in the past.
