We're back. Both the data and backup volumes attached to our database server were increased in size. The database was upgraded to the latest software release, and all of our data was converted to an improved character set, allowing for four byte symbols, while our previous format was limited to symbols between one to three bytes. In short, the site now has better support for a variety of languages, and countless new symbols and icons available to use, as seen in this post title. Similar to comment formatting, try to use them appropriately. Thanks!

The easiest way for windows users is to use windows software keyboard. Its icon can be showed beside the clock so it's very easy to open it and use.

It's there by default, you don't have to install it.

i think i removed it.
i removed everything i can from win10... half the stuff they put there can be removed.

I would remove it too if there were not the emojis. It's really handy.

or, imo even easier after setup.. the comment formatting script has emoji section and you can add your own into it 🙂

Yes but it is not universal. I can use the keyboard everywhere. ;)

And the script is kinda poor (except the emojis). You can see textareas with Extended SteamGifts in the enclosed screenshot.

Then maybe you have an old version of Windows.

windows 10 64bit here and i don't either (updated, licensed, & no apps uninstalled/altered from windows factory). i make due with bladito's comment formatting script's emoji section, but did check into this option and couldn't figure it out either due to that.

It's strange I had it even activated by default. I have Win10 64bit too.
I recorded how to activate it but sorry, I don't have it in English...

Edit: late :)

ahh... got it.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb6fWHelumA

must launch that version of the keyboard... the version you launch from pressing the windows key and typing "on-screen" doesn't have the emoji section, but the one launched from taskbar does.

So we can finally use all those strange characters that previously only gave us squares? Yay, my dream of explaining university-level maths on this forum can finally come true!
