oh there are probably even more, that's just from a few various sites i found. some might be repeated already on that list, but trying to find more all i ran across were repeats. in fact i know there are thousands upon thousands of them here, but most of those will be languages and symbols more then emote like ones. np at all though on those i did gather. this made me wonder if my site supported 4-byte characters, and turns out it didn't because i was still using the utf8 character set in mysql. switched it to utf8mb4 (which my tables already use) and now i can post smeley piles of poo too! but i still won't.

We're back. Both the data and backup volumes attached to our database server were increased in size. The database was upgraded to the latest software release, and all of our data was converted to an improved character set, allowing for four byte symbols, while our previous format was limited to symbols between one to three bytes. In short, the site now has better support for a variety of languages, and countless new symbols and icons available to use, as seen in this post title. Similar to comment formatting, try to use them appropriately. Thanks!
