Wow, never imagined something like this would happen one day... I actually quite enjoyed Second Sight back in the day and was kinda sad to see it had been removed from Steam before I ever had the chance to throw my cash at it. Thanks for the heads up :3.

I enjoyed Second Sight as well, beaten it on both difficulties. An HD version will likely be a purchase as well, but TimeSplitters is my greatest interest here. I spent too many hours playing those games, to the point I hit 200 - 2 - 2 kills in a 3 way match before.

Never heard of it? Shame on you, it was an awesome series.

Been a long time since I hooked up the PS2, so I barely remember the soundtrack at this point.
Most certainly a fun game though.

I played one of them years ago, ran into a bug of some sort which broke the game and made it impossible to progress. If it does come to PC, and the port is good, I may try again.

You either had a defective disc, or simply were on one of the more annoying missions (at least one had failure event triggers related to AI characters, so timing mattered at points). As much as I played the games, I've never had issues myself.

Second Sight was awesome, but I've already done everything in it, and not hopeful for anything new when they remaster it. TimeSplitters could possibly see some improvements if they do a compilation of all three. My favourite multiplayer level (Planet X) always did suffer from slowdown on the original system, and if I'm really lucky, all levels could be played in some large multiplayer mode, rather than splitting them between the games. Really hard to go back to the controls in the first two games. :(

I only played bits and pieces of them, mainly when at a fiends place since I never had them. They were great games from what I remember. True a second sight remaster would be of limited entertainment value, but I think they could probably do a sequel.

If you haven't already beaten it, it will be good for you. As for a sequel, I'm not saying it won't happen, but I'm not going to expect anything any time soon. I wouldn't be surprised if they have done more remasters than new games.

Now if they could just find the rights for no one lives forever to buy up then they'd be my favourite publisher.

Oh yeah I've still got my original discs as well and it mostly stays installed with a no cd patch, but I just really would love a remastered version.

Unfortunately, NightDrive already tried a few years ago and it went nowhere :/. There is always hope though; we got System Shock and even STEINS;GATE over the past few years, and they used to written off as impossible. THQ has more money show maybe the big publishers involved would be more willing to work with them rather than a smaller niche company.

Yeah I know the whole story behind it, and the limbo it's currently held in, but that's why I'm hoping a studio like THQ Nordic takes a serious interest one day. Especially being as they show a great affinity for showing love to fan favourites.

"It's time to split!"
Anyway, yes I'd pick this up on release. Especially Time Splitters 3 is a game I played to death. But also spent plenty of time with 2

I'd probably play with you in that case. :P
Find out if I can still keep up with people all these years later with now terrible joints. -_-

Only if a) everyone's a monkey or b) no-one's a monkey. Because otherwise those half-sized models are really broken in multiplayer

I don't think Nordic has done any bad remasters, so we should be safe

So Nordic has bought the IPs of TimeSplitters and Second Sight from Crytek. While this is better than having Crytek sit on the IP and ignore it, I do find it unlikely to result in a new TimeSplitters game any time soon. Still, they like doing remasters and releasing them everywhere, so soon enough, I could be showing forum users the joy of Planet X while mowing them down with dual miniguns as a duck.
Yes, I'm quite serious.
Though even with a PC release, I'll probably buy on PS4 as well because even if online is fun, the PS2 original is what had me buy a multitap and 4 controllers for splitscreen matches, and I can match that on my PS4 quite easily.
