Jeez. Original one was like 10gb. Who would think 4k orange textures can weight so much.

Being hyped for a not-so-promising remaster shows how large the gap of "real-time calculated non-scripted physics destruction" games actually is.
Also just compared the system requirements with the 2009 version and it's quite a jump. Will be fun to finally play the game without melting one's CPU.
/edit Can be downloaded now. 24,4 GB.

Only the best destruction physics to ever be implemented in any game. Ever.
Even after 9 years, nothing has touched it.

It will still work. Remarstered has been added to every package that contained the old version.

I didn't really want it but I installed it and started another playthrough anyway. What does that make me?

But idling means not blowing stuff up. And I like blowing stuff up.
Guess I gotta be that space asshole

I wish it would have kept the old version in my Library and just added the new version alongside it. It would have been neat to see the differences between the two games!

I must have missed your comment the first time. I posted a reply to SnowyK about it. Strange, indeed!

Better than the 470 kb/s that I'm currently rocking whilst downloading Fallout 4:GOTY!;)

Weird. I swear it wasn't there when I posted my previous comment, but it is there now. It also now has Red Faction II and Red Faction Armageddon between the two.

Hmm. Just noticed, while the original RF:G wasn't on sale during the summer sale, the re-mars-tered version did launch at 50% off. Discount lasts until July 10th, so you can grab it for a tenner if you didn't get a free copy.
