My brother is a total Bronie. He's an amazing artist, and has created his own ponies with their own backstories and personalities - my favorite of which is Winter Willow (see below)

I will agree on the fact , that it is almost 8 years worth of developing the characters .
So people ( me included ) are already invested in them a lot ...
The classic 80s one was the show that i used to watch on TV when i was a kid in the early 90s ... and i had fond memories of it.
The current gen was something i pick up like a year ago i would say ... but it help me trough a lot of hard times .
So it will always be the best generation for me :p

TBF... Its kinda good news for me. I enjoyed seasons 1-7 but the MLP movie and start of season 8 just killed all kind of enjoyment . Season 8 felt a lot like they were just rewriting old stories .
Now might just wait for them to finish season 9 and then binge watch 8 and 9 to see at what note the show will ends.. or will I have to force myself to watch it till the end.

Yeah ... it kinda started to feel like they are back tracking in the first couple episodes of the 8th season ...
Havent really watch much of it , as i hate waiting for new episode , and was going to watch it in the winter when the season is done , but there seems to be complaints about the quality of episodes :/
I was kinda hyped , cause we finally got the hippogriffs , who are also the aqua ponies ... so there could be some nice multi episode stories involving them .
Had that secret hope , that maybe sunset shimmer and tempest (Fizzlepop Berrytwist) make some appearances in the show and we get some more backstory on those 2 ...
Uh well , as i said all good things come to an end eventually .... hope they dont drag the show too long with some shitty fillers in the next season and a half , and we get some actuall memorable content .

Only place with some backstory of those 2(Sunset and Tempest) is in the comics and even then its barely covered in details. And I stopped buying the comics once I stopped watching the TV show.
And I dont have much hope for the show.. I mean they have maybe 30 more episodes to go and doubt they will have some good original content.. maybe 2-3 episodes max... then again I'm a pessimist to the core.

That would be interesting touch ... sadly as far as i know they are just Re-booting the entire thing...again :)
This time tho , the target audience will be Teens and well more mature people . ( as we all know the actual audience of the show ^^ ) and not 6y old girls :p
I got mixed feelings about it .. for one im excited to see what they come up with ... on the other hand i really like the current gen and its a shame that we see it go :/

I just generally really dislike rebooting stuff, but I know in this case it's very hypocritical since this is the only gen I've ever watched. So obviously I'm very biased towards it.

I never looked that stuff but have friends that like it.
I sended one of them a little (child) book from that ponies normaly made for age 6^^. He and his girlfriend were very happy over it :o).
EDIT: Wrong i seen a bit of it but maybe a parody because that cute ones killed each one with much brutality, gore and blood (a bit like "happy tree friends" style)

So after nearly a decade , Friendship is Magic is coming to and end with its 9th season (8 is the one running atm so there is good season and a half left ).
Probably bit more then a year ago , i was asked to watch over my niece for a day ... not knowing how to entertain a 5y old at the time , i just went with the classic ... watch TV .... we watched the show for like 3 hours , and ever since then i have been heaving unhealthy addiction to it .
Luckily enough im still just a casual fan of it . But it still made me sad when i read about that earlier today ... to the point where i spent past couple hours digging up info on it .
So turns out , its not exactly over ... its just time for yet another generation ( concept of which you can find HERE ).
Basically reboot the show for 5th time ever since it started in the 80s . And have yet another story .
I'm secretly happy , but yet sad ... cause a decade of story and character development is soon coming to an end .
Anyway enough for my emotional drama , ... went on tremor and bough some keys with the leftover coins i had .
