Which is incredible dumb. Why not list them for 0 points and nobody gets hurt... if people want to give it away, let them. Pff... will never understand this.

It is not guaranteed that you get it for applying. And some people have spare copies.
What exactly is the problem in giving them away? Just the fact that you can get it yourself? As I said: List it for 1 or 0 points. No harm done. People get rid of their extra copies and the winners happy about winning something. I don't get it. SG always complicates stuff where it is absolutely unnecessary.
