Not to argue with your point about common lack of game translation which is a problem indeed, but just pointing out you are wrong about ratio of Spanish:English speakers ;) While Spanish is a native language for more people than English, overall total amount of speakers (both native and secondary) is much in favor of english. While Spanish is spoken by 490mil people worldwide (both as native and secondary language) English is spoken by ~840mil people, which ia 171,5% of number of all Spanish speakers ;)

I was under the impression that Spanish (and also Portuguese) were considered to be among the easier major languages to learn for someone who had grown up with another language. English is, as a language, a bit messy, but it's very hard to break the dominance of a language, once it's established.

I guess the problem lies not exactly with language difficulty, but rather with it's usefullness ;) Ofc I'm not saying Spanish is not useful, but for more people learning english, whether for culture experiences, further learning opportunities, career - is more essential ;) If you learn Spanish it will surely look nice in your CV and will open some new job opportunities (for example in trading, since South America is a huge exporter for rest of the world), but if you don't learn english many more job careers will remain non-accessible to you, not to mention having access to english-language popculture (books, movies, video games) or scientific studies / technical documentations which are usually translated to english first.
TL;DR - In current wester world English is simply more useful ;)

Neither do I want to start any fight, was just giving a counterargument ;) As for actual Spanish-English differences cannot really say, as I don't speak Spanish ;) And I didn't mean there are no great books or movies from hispanic countries, ofc there are, like from any country. Was simply saying there are more from English speaking countries because due to it's popularity it's better for accessing wider audience ;)

If we are to talk about usefulness, dead languages - Latin and Ancient Greek - are terribly useful too in many a field. And I'm not talking about linguistics alone, either. Let's take chemistry: when going through curricula vitae (didn't do that on purpose), anyone who took Latin and especially Ancient Greek classes is automatically two steps ahead of others.

sure they are useful in many scientific fields, chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmacology - but I would argue that overall english is still more widely useful. I guess knowing English opens more opportunities than Latin or Ancient Greek ;p

I voted on I'd rather spend my money on potato, but if it's ever in bundle with some nice games, I'd totally buy it and give the game to my friend who is fan of PewDiePie :D

it's just a normal plataformer game with his name on it. not saying it's bad, but i bet most of the user base buys it just for the title.
swap pewdiepie with any other character... a space marine, lara croft, pipboy, etc and it will attract another kind of user.

I've never watched any of his youtube vids but for me, I'd have minimal interest in a port of a mobile game with nothing added to it.

I'm not a fan of PewDiePie, but the game doesn't look that bad. A lot of people here seem to be prejudging the game based entirely on the fact that it has PewDiePie in it when it might actually be good.

eh the PDP game might be decent (if a normal platformer), but well.... I'm not touching that cancer fest (of haters and whiteknights)

Yeah, AVGN adventures is definitely based on the "shitty games from the past" the AVGN episodes are based on in every way possible, including having fake difficulty all over the place.
In that way it's more than a themed skin draped over a generic platformer. Wether it makes it a better game or not, well... it does if you're a fan of I Wanna Be The Guy or Kaizō Mario. Otherwise it's a mixed bag at best.

I don't see anything wrong with that :). Game looks fine, certainly better than many others that are available on Steam, so there is no reason to hate on it just because it's Pewdiepie's.

People have bitched everywhere about this just because it includes PewDiePie and othr YouTubers. I have played it on android and it's a really good platforming game, not used to see those on android, and what's more important, the price is cheap. You see many bad indie games asking for 15$ while this one is a good one and it's only 8$.

Everybody that buys it is probably a brain washed fan that wants to give money to an already multimillionaire gamer... so no,don't buy it, you can see from the trailer that it's nothing better than any other platformer.
