I received an email this morning from Isthereanydeal about a game on my wishlist being available from Savemi.com. Specifically Ibomber Defense The email said the game activated on steam but I know that ITAD isn't responsible for any inaccurate information and it's up to the consumer to do their due diligence. Am I being dumb and missed where this purchase was for a digital download and not a steam key? Because I was only given a digital download link with the instructions that activation was not required, simply install and play. I scoured my account and order pages as well as the purchase email and couldn't find a key. The sites FAQ's state that the key will appear on your order page under your billing address and there is indeed a place for that on the page but it's blank. I fully accept it if I've made a mistake here but the game was listed under the sites "Steam Keys" section and the games store page says "Authorized Digital Code". I emailed the company but have yet to hear back.

Photos of the product page and the install instructions received after I made the purchase.

Since the Savemi store page says Steam key, I would expect a refund (and hopefully they change the text on the store page...)

Sometimes you can get burned due to carelessness, but I think this one's on them. :)

p.s. The dailyindiegame store used to sell cheap keys for that game, but haven't checked recently. Worth a shot...
