pretty much this ^ most of my friends just made FB accounts to complete the badge and removed everything (connection and FB acc)

And in that time FB got all details about your Steam account, which you implicitly agreed to. And they'll never ever delete them.

Only reason I'd do this (other than the badge) is that it increases your friend list limit to 300.

The Steam Community Beta is now open to the first 50,000 players who earned the 'Pillar of the Steam Community' badge and includes another invite to share. Beta access will increase incrementally until the public launch.

I got one too. So, we are one of those 50000 players. :)

Yeah, you appear to get an invite to give to someone else. So there are 100,000 people (theoretically) with access.

got one also. (well, you know, two copies.) but, not sure i wanna bother with it. I love the idea of the shared ss/videos/etc, but frankly, im a lot more concerned with how much the steam Community access is down, and I really think this will make it even worse.
I would have much preferred to see them roll out a Steam Lite.

Having that badge does not guarantee you to have an access, its the first 50K. I had that badge but didn't got one.

edit: just restarted steam, got it :)

added to library, see no changes, do I restart steam again?

edit: nvm, doesn't work with PixelVision skin, changed to default skin, it works now :)

Just refresh, the Steam inventory server got hit pretty hard but it's back now. Try restarting Steam as well.
